Gu Yue Yao Le

She is first named on the Jia caravan treehouse when Gu Yue Yao Ji calls her granddaughter Yao Le after the girl snaps at a clerk over a lost Liquor worm bid. ^{ch. 111} In the same caravan visit, the day before her Awakening Ceremony, she presses Yao Ji for that Liquor worm as a promised gift. ^{ch. 110 ch. 111} Crowd talk soon gives the full clan form Gu Yue Yao Le and places her in the coming Awakening Ceremony, with Yao Ji bidding ahead to pave her way. ^{ch. 113} That early stretch sits on Qing Mao Mountain inside the Gu Yue clan.

Appearance

She is a young girl with black hair, a peach-like small mouth, eyes shining like crystals, and a slightly chubby face. ^{ch. 147} She is beautiful. ^{ch. 148} She is fifteen years old, with a frail body and slim legs. She has a cute appearance, black lustrous eyes, a round nose slightly pointing up, skin blushing like peach blossoms, and two rows of white clean teeth. ^{ch. 151}

Granddaughter of the medicine hall

Gu Yue Qing Shu later names her Yao Ji’s granddaughter, a new student that year with B grade aptitude, and explains Yao Ji’s failed treehouse bid for a Liquor worm meant for her. ^{ch. 123} Fang Zheng also urges Fang Yuan to sell, calling sister Yao Le a good person who would care for the worm. ^{ch. 124} Yao Ji does obtain a Liquor worm from the caravan afterward and gives that worm to Yao Le. ^{ch. 147}

During the wolf tide she runs a healing station as a young rank one Gu Master. Xiong Jiao Man greets her by name, praises her medical skill and Yao Ji’s benevolent line, and places her among Qing Mao Mountain’s top ten rising stars. Yao Le then asks her grandmother to punish Fang Yuan for extorting Xiong Jiao Man, and clansmen credit her persuasion when the medicine hall orders holders of Nine Leaf Vitality Grass to hand the Gu over for unified leaf production. ^{ch. 147 ch. 148}

Yao Ji’s staff later reports her near the east door leading the healing team and refusing to stay at the rear. Yao Ji treats that front-line work as political capital for the day Yao Le inherits the medicine hall. ^{ch. 149}

Eastern gate and capture

When a frenzy lightning wolf breaks the eastern gate, Yao Ji races out because Yao Le is still there. Xiong Jiao Man tries to pull Yao Le clear, but Soundwave Gu force flings Yao Le past the broken gate into the wolf packs outside the village. Fang Yuan guides her out of the immediate encirclement with spoken directions and moonblades, then reveals himself in a remote forest and knocks her out. ^{ch. 150 ch. 151}

The fan translation writes the name as Gu Yue Yao Le, with Yao Le and Miss Yao Le as the short forms used around her. ^{ch. 111 ch. 149} No Chinese characters for her personal name appear in the English chapter text used here. The Awakening Ceremony itself is not printed with her grade on the page; Qing Shu’s later B grade line is the direct aptitude statement after she is already a student. ^{ch. 113 ch. 123} Fang Yuan takes every Gu from her body in the cave, but the only Gu from that haul later named is the Liquor worm; no vital Gu or other healing Gu set is named for her. ^{ch. 151 ch. 212}
