Man as Before Gu

Tai Bai’s inheritance treats river as before, mountain as before, and man as before as his core set, with man as before as his vital Gu, and theorizes advancing it to rank six Immortal Gu during immortal ascension so it can be used on himself. ^{ch. 604 ch. 609} During his ascension he sends Man as Before into the tri-colored primordial qi as his vital Gu, then pours the theoretical recipe into the qi cocoon around it. ^{ch. 609} The cocoon breaks and a colorful butterfly appears; he names the result Immortal Gu Man as Before. ^{ch. 611} Immortal activation needs immortal essence. ^{ch. 636} Even as Immortal Gu it only works on human bodies. ^{ch. 1431}

During the Yi Tian Mountain battle Tai Bai Yun Sheng uses Man as Before to restore Fairy Li Shan after immortal zombie Bo Qing beheads her. Bo Qing dismisses it as merely a rank six time path Immortal Gu that cannot stop him, and this time turns her into a pile of mushy flesh with sword qi. ^{ch. 1011}

In the completed trade with Sixth Hair, Fang Yuan obtains Tai Bai Yun Sheng’s Man as Before among a large batch of Immortal Gu. ^{ch. 1079} Landscape as Before and Man as Before belonged to Shadow Sect and reached Tai Bai Yun Sheng through Purple Mountain True Monarch. ^{ch. 1302} Fang Yuan’s time path clone later advances the Immortal Gu from rank six to rank seven; both ranks appear as a multicolored butterfly, and the rank seven form shows a tiny naked pale person on the butterfly’s body. ^{ch. 1680}
