Chapter 611

Fang Yuan feeds primeval essence into luck inspection Gu, a rank five luck path investigative Gu, and reads the luck around him. Fang Yuan judges that Giant Sun Immortal Venerable’s will, helping again, has spent Tai Bai Yun Sheng’s luck down to a third. Fang Yuan’s own black coffin luck is larger than before. The overwhelming majority of the watching Gu Masters have gained a small layer of it unnoticed, while Hei Lou Lan’s profuse azure luck is unchanged. Fang Yuan’s eyes hurt, and since Gu worms cause a backlash amid an ascension’s heaven and earth qi, he stops. ^{ch. 611}

Tai Bai Yun Sheng has no defensive Gu left and survives on flight alone, dodging chaotic lightning balls. He charged into the thunder clouds to escape the earthly calamity of restraining smoke. When a ball veers at him too late to dodge, a white light pillar of divert disaster Gu melts it. A hit throws his thoughts into chaos, and any pause in the air would bring countless balls on him at once. Onlookers count at least ten rescues by Eighty-Eight True Yang Building and expect his tribulation to succeed. ^{ch. 611}

Hei Lou Lan doubts it, since a huge backlash can destroy the Immortal Gu of a Gu Immortal who helps in a tribulation. Fang Yuan judges that divert disaster Gu is a foundational piece of Eighty-Eight True Yang Building, used so Imperial Court blessed land can divert disasters. Fang Yuan infers that Giant Sun’s will will not give up so precious a Gu for Tai Bai Yun Sheng, so its reinforcement is limited. The next moments depend on whether Tai Bai Yun Sheng can quickly get through the calamity and tribulation in his aperture. Landscape as before Gu is one of Fang Yuan’s main goals in northern plains. ^{ch. 611}

Tai Bai Yun Sheng’s speed drops, because the land spirit harms him outside while calamity and tribulation form in his own aperture. He suddenly freezes, countless lightning balls rush him, and the divert disaster light pillar surrounds him. Bright light then engulfs his immortal aperture, and a fist sized jade ladybug rises, its back marked with rivers and seas on one half and valleys and mountains on the other. He did not refine it and is unclear about its effect. He reads it as River as Before and Mountain as Before combined, and its effect seems theirs elevated. Immortal Gu Landscape as Before is only an additional surprise, not his goal. ^{ch. 611}

At the center of his blessed land, man as before Gu breaks out of its cocoon as a colorful butterfly trailing a rainbow. Tai Bai Yun Sheng names it Immortal Gu Man as Before and laughs, extremely happy. The azure tribulation cloud then forms a huge silver horn green scale python, and the new earth splits into molten earth. Facing both alone, he feels an immense pressure and sends green grape immortal essence into Landscape as Before. Wherever it flies, land is restored to the moment before the earthly calamity struck. The python pounces on the Gu, but he controls it like his limbs and escapes. The python’s dozens of strikes wreck mountains and rivers in his aperture. ^{ch. 611}

With his eyes shut, he is shielded from the lightning balls by the light pillar. Reasoning that the building’s reinforcement is limited and that Man as before Immortal Gu leaves hope if he has time, he cuts his losses. He abandons territory to protect his headquarters, and his blessed land’s sky is shaved off layer by layer and sent out of his body with the tribulation clouds. Outside, Frost Jade Peacock joyfully devours these fragments to increase its own strength. Giant Sun’s will shouts in anger yet must protect him, since his death would let Imperial Court blessed land devour his whole immortal aperture. But divert disaster Immortal Gu is already full of cracks, so more reinforcement might destroy it, and Giant Sun’s will falls into a difficult predicament. ^{ch. 611}
