Frost Jade Peacock is the land spirit of Imperial Court blessed land, found sealed as a green copper divine bird deep inside Eighty-Eight True Yang Building.
Mo Yao’s will points Fang Yuan to the statue and names it. Fang Yuan states that a land spirit is formed from an obsession joined to the blessed land’s heavenly power, and that the land spirit and blessed land live or die together. The seal is Giant Sun Immortal Venerable’s work: green paste from the rank seven Immortal Gu Earth Prison and black chains from the rank seven Immortal Gu Earth Net, left in place for hundreds of thousands of years. Fang Yuan uses Gruel Mud to begin melting that seal and asks it to recognize him as master; it answers that ownership requires one condition. ch. 602
Appearance
It is a tall, huge green copper divine bird looking up with wings spread. It has a long neck, slim legs, and feathers. Its eyes are sharp as daggers, and it frowns with its mouth wide open as if screaming. Black chains, each the size of an ancient tree, coil around its body, tangle around its long neck and slim legs, and pierce through its feathers into its body. Green paste from Earth Prison covers it. ch. 602
Ownership condition
The condition is true love: one person is not enough, and Frost Jade Peacock will only submit to a Gu Master couple deeply in love. ch. 603 Giant Sun Immortal Venerable once met that demand and became owner of Imperial Court blessed land. ch. 602 The peacock is formed from the original owner’s obsession, arrogant, and still willing to acknowledge true love. ch. 603
Contest with Giant Sun’s will
When Giant Sun’s will moves to reseal it, Frost Jade Peacock swears it will not yield even in death. Excess heaven and earth qi then pours into Tai Bai Yun Sheng’s immortal aperture from Imperial Court blessed land, injuring the land’s foundation, and Fang Yuan attributes that defiance to the peacock. A land spirit’s recognition of a master is not flexible, and this peacock is proud beyond ordinary land spirits. ch. 609
Master recognition
Ma Hong Yun and Zhao Lian Yun obtain Frost Jade Peacock’s recognition and become owners of Imperial Court blessed land. That recognition still requires a Gu Master couple with true love for each other. ch. 618
Death
During the collapse around the luck path true inheritance, the Frost Jade Peacock that recognized Ma Hong Yun and Zhao Lian Yun as its master has already died. ch. 636
