Chapter 534

Ouyang Bi Sang and Mo Shi Kuang answer Liu Wen Wu’s call. They crash into him at once, and the three brothers fuse in a burst of green, grey and white light into a single monster. It has three heads bearing each of their faces on one twenty foot body of bronze skin and tight muscle. They name their killer move, Three Head Six Arms, and promise it will be the onlookers’ last sight of life. ^{ch. 534}

Gao Yang tests it with treacherous cloud wave Gu, but the monster’s eyes shoot beams through the cloud and close the distance in an instant, and one arm punches through his defense Gu to crush his head like a watermelon. Enraged, Zhu Zai charges and Mo Shi Kuang’s head flicks a finger, and a qi blast injures everyone within thousands of steps and pulps Zhu Zai on the spot. Watching from hiding, Fang Yuan reads the monster’s power as raised at least six times over and its speed at least nine times. He wonders whether the combination fuses asura transformation, the attacking force of qi path and the effects of light path. The scene gives him an intense urge to battle it. He thinks that with all-out effort Gu and rank five amplify effect Gu he could burst out five hundred jun of strength, and wonders who would win against it. He suppresses the urge and returns to hiding among the wolves. ^{ch. 534}

Two silver lights fall, and man as before restores Zhu Zai and Gao Yang to their state before the battle. The monster’s six eyes turn on Tai Bai Yun Sheng himself, since he can heal others but not himself, and Hei Lou Lan orders every free fighter to shield him. Nothing that stands in its path survives. Gao Yang and Zhu Zai rush to guard Tai Bai Yun Sheng and are smashed down again, and Pan Ping’s sole blade Gu lands a shallow wound on its chest that has closed by the time the monster finishes laughing. Its next breath detonates Pan Ping into pieces. Hao Ji Liu’s waterfall charge is thrown back faster than it arrives, and seeing this, Bian Si Xuan halts her own advance. ^{ch. 534}

Hei Lou Lan drops in with the killer move Dark Vortex, a black sphere the size of a hill. The monster claws at it, then answers with World Devouring Qi, the move Mo Shi Kuang had left unfinished earlier, now perfected in its own hand. The surging air swallows the Dark Vortex whole. ^{ch. 534}

The mutated wolf group, whose strength matches rank four Gu Masters, surrounds the berserk monster and dies against it wave after wave while Hei Lou Lan delays it from the air. The fused fighters, having lost their own reason, kill without distinguishing sides, cutting down even a Liu tribe Gu Master who rushes in to reinforce them. Liu tribe soldiers say they have lost a third of their Gu Masters and call to retreat. Morale cracks on both sides at the sight. Deserters appear among Hei and Liu tribe alike, with neither the black banner nor grand white troops free from their own fight to stop them. Fang Yuan judges from hiding that a killer move this costly in primeval essence, wielded by something that has lost its own intelligence, is nothing to fear, and Tai Bai Yun Sheng agrees the battle already looks won. ^{ch. 534}

The Three Head Six Arms fusion mixes their souls to spike their combined strength, but held too long it blurs their memories until they risk losing themselves as a lunatic or an idiot. But killing their own reinforcement jars the three brothers back to a trace of sanity. Using their investigative Gu they calculate three likely places Fang Yuan could be hiding, splitting the monster back into three bodies to check them, and judge Chang Shan Yin’s death more valuable than Tai Bai Yun Sheng’s. Ouyang Bi Sang finds the right spot and lunges with a second asura transformation. ^{ch. 534}

Hei Lou Lan shouts inwardly that if the Wolf King dies, the wolf group will crumble and Liu tribe’s army will turn the situation into his own army’s defeat, and he rushes to intervene but arrives too late. Chang Ji You, who believes the Wolf King is his father, cries out “Father!” Fang Yuan only smiles: rank four eagle raise Gu paired with rank five amplify effect Gu lifts him skyward at five times his normal speed. He weaves clear of Ouyang Bi Sang, Liu Wen Wu and Mo Shi Kuang in turn while still directing the wolf group against Liu tribe’s army below.
