Chapter 535

Fang Yuan flies better than the three brothers Liu Wen Wu, Ouyang Bi Sang and Mo Shi Kuang, so they cannot touch him however they try to block him. While he dodges, he sends the wolf army to slaughter Liu tribe’s army, and the brothers give up the chase to kill wolves. This is what Hei Lou Lan and Fang Yuan want, because a Gu Master below the immortal realm has limited primeval essence. The wolf tide never ends. The brothers kill until their primeval essence is depleted, and Hei tribe’s stronger fighters then suppress them. ^{ch. 535}

Liu Wen Wu shouts that he lost not to Hei Lou Lan but to Tai Bai Yun Sheng and Chang Shan Yin. In his view, three heads six arms could have suppressed the field and killed Fang Yuan, collapsing the wolf group and costing Hei tribe the battle. The rank five healing Gu man as before of Tai Bai Yun Sheng greatly weakened the killer move three heads six arms, and Chang Shan Yin turned out to be a flying master the brothers could not catch. Liu tribe loses, with great losses and countless surrenders. Liu Wen Wu and the others are captured once their primeval essence is depleted. ^{ch. 535}

Hei tribe does not kill them, because Liu Wen Wu is one of Liu tribe’s prospective Gu Immortals and his death would breach the rules of the Imperial Court contest. It seeks a great amount of battle reparation from Liu tribe instead. The weightier reason is Hei tribe’s tragic victory with huge losses, which ordinary spoils could not repair without Liu Wen Wu to bargain with. Three days later a Liu tribe envoy takes the Liu tribesmen and their submitted tribes back into the blessed land. The heavily damaged Hei army camps to manage the surrendered. ^{ch. 535}

In the large lizard house Gu, Fang Yuan uses a rank four wolf soul Gu, a thumb-size grey wolf doll in eerie blue light. Its wolf soul fuses into his thousand man soul, which grows long wolf ears, a thinner body and a sharper nose. Since the Imperial Court competition began, his soul has become around thirty percent wolfman soul. Once fully converted, he could command the wolf group with a mere thought, but at this speed the contest ends first. His soul cultivation is already very fast. His aim now is to save Dang Hun mountain, which gruel mud in Hu Immortal blessed land has corroded down to a small mountain. He can search for Luo Po valley only after the contest ends. ^{ch. 535}

Chang Biao brings Ni Xue Tong and Chang Ji You to the Gu house, where two rank three Gu Master guards tell them to wait. Chang Biao, with a huge grudge against Chang Shan Yin, would not submit to Hei tribe, but Liu tribe demanded that Chang tribe give up its family name. Hei Lou Lan then added the taking over of Chang tribe to the battle reparation, to please Chang Shan Yin. Forced by both tribes, Chang tribe submits and becomes Hei tribe’s captives. Hei Lou Lan lets Fang Yuan deal with them completely. Fang Yuan, who wears Chang Shan Yin’s identity only as a way into the Imperial Court blessed land, does not care, but settling it casually would raise suspicion, so he has Chang Biao summoned. ^{ch. 535}

Chang Biao waits from evening to midnight in the extremely cold night, all three of them stripped of their Gu worms. Chang Ji You, called the hero’s son all his life, sighed in relief on becoming a captive, since he no longer had to fight his father. Now he is very excited to meet his real father. ^{ch. 535}

Having made Chang Biao wait on purpose as a show of authority, Fang Yuan opens the doors. Chang Biao enters first in great trepidation, knowing that he dies if Chang Shan Yin learns the truth. The three kneel before Fang Yuan, who laughs lightly. Chang Biao shuts his eyes and awaits judgement, Ni Xue Tong nearly collapses, and Chang Ji You feels a strong warmth from his father’s laugh. ^{ch. 535}
