Liu Wen Wu

Yan tribe pressure on Ge tribe first names him as Yan Cui Er’s fiancé and as Liu tribe’s third young master: an expert of brush and sword who left with tribal supporters to build his own force and contest the imperial court throne. That same stretch places Liu tribe among Northern Plains super tribes beside Hei tribe, and treats his army as large enough that failing to save Yan Cui Er would bring trouble at the heroes assembly. ^{ch. 470} Hao Ji Liu later still calls him one of Hei Lou Lan’s fiercest Imperial Court rivals while planning to gift Yan Cui Er away. ^{ch. 473}

Appearance

He wears white clothes and has a scholarly aura, looking like a perfect young master. His eyes are mild and his face is like jade. ^{ch. 499}

Refusing a hostage trade

At Yu Tian the text sets Liu tribe’s Liu Wen Wu opposite Hei tribe’s Hei Lou Lan as the two strongest remaining sides. When Hei Lou Lan flaunts Yan Cui Er, Liu Wen Wu answers with calm ambition talk and refuses to trade the contest for her return, while his sworn brother Mo Shi Kuang arrives as reinforcement. ^{ch. 497} Chang tribe’s submission already sits under his banner when Fang Yuan as Chang Shan Yin allies with Hei Lou Lan instead. ^{ch. 499}

Contest with Hei tribe

Hei Bai later calls him Liu tribe’s current generation tribe leader, notes that Harmony Immortal’s inheritance fell into his hands, and names two sworn brothers as fierce warriors beside him. ^{ch. 528} On the battlefield he is a light path rank five opposite Hei Lou Lan’s dark path rank five, and the two have fought many times without a clear victor before that clash. ^{ch. 533}
