Chapter 372

In Hu Immortal blessed land in Central Continent, elite disciples from ten sects climb Dang Hun mountain. Near the mountain waist, Fang Zheng grips the walls, sweating, pale and gasping heavily. Hu Immortal land spirit appears before him, a little girl with snowy white skin and an extremely cute fluffy fox tail, and urges him to give up. She has appeared many times and is very playful, and Fang Zheng has learned to ignore her. Fang Zheng asks if catching the land spirit would skip the climb. Scolding him, Lord Sky Crane explains that after a Gu Immortal dies, remnants of will and soul mix with the blessed land’s powers to form a land spirit. Hu Immortal land spirit formed from the Gu Immortal Bai Hu and, without her past life’s memories, keeps merely lingering desires. Inside the land she freely manipulates heavenly power, combats a Gu Immortal directly, and seals any rank one to five Gu worm at will, while only rank six Immortal Gu worms move freely there. ^{ch. 372}

Lord Sky Crane adds that whoever owns the blessed land gains her loyalty, and within it she equals a Gu Immortal, which leaves Fang Zheng completely stunned. She cannot leave the land, whose wide and rich expanse is the true essence of the Hu Immortal Inheritance. A land without a spirit is greatly inferior and destined to be destroyed. Told to give the land’s resources to Immortal Crane Sect once he is lord, Fang Zheng agrees. They quarrel over charging in together or waiting for Tie Mu Bai to enter the inheritance. One warns that waiting invites slaughter, another that wealth demands risk. ^{ch. 372}

The wailing of a hundred ghosts rises. Dark clouds fill the sky, and a shrill voice greets Tie Mu Bai as an old friend. The clouds form a face, and demonic Gu Masters cheer Lord Wu Gui, a rank five peak stage expert of the older generation and Tie Mu Bai’s lifetime rival. Talk says Tie Mu Bai once unintentionally ruined Wu Gui’s breakthrough to rank six, and Wu Gui has since slaughtered Tie clansmen many times in extreme hatred. ^{ch. 372}

Tie Mu Bai answers from the peak in golden light. Wu Gui retorts that Tie Mu Bai won by merely one move a decade ago. The clouds become an extremely large hand, but Tie Mu Bai turns into golden light, tears them apart and fights Wu Gui inside, the aftershocks felt outside. From within, Tie Mu Bai recounts how Wu Gui went from outclassing him to losing to him, and says Wu Gui will lose his life today. Panting, Wu Gui screams that Tie Mu Bai was lucky to be born in Tie clan, though the earlier battle clearly favored Tie Mu Bai. Laughing wildly, he asks whether Tie Mu Bai thought he had no backup, and a third rank five peak stage aura bursts out.
