Chapter 379

Fang Yuan pounces on Tie Mu Bai’s headless corpse and sends his mind into the aperture. Rank five essence is purple crystal, deepening by stage from light purple through violet purple and deep purple to crystal purple. Tie Mu Bai was a rank five peak stage Gu Master, and the aperture holds crystal purple primeval essence ninety-eight percent full. Three rank five Gu move in the purple crystal primeval sea. ^{ch. 379}

Turn gold Gu, a golden small hand, is Tie Mu Bai’s vital Gu and strongest long range attack, once used on San Cha mountain against Ku Mo and Wu Gui. Any lifeform it hits turns to pure gold and dies. Even Ku Mo and Wu Gui did not dare take it head on. Liquid metal Gu, a yellow-gold current, gives great defenses and regathers like water when broken, so Fang Yuan could not break it even at full strength. Vajra stare Gu, an eyeball giving off golden light, attacks an opponent’s soul through eye contact. Tie Mu Bai kept it hidden as a trump card even against Ku Mo and Wu Gui, and because he strengthened his soul with many Gu while Fang Yuan did not, one second of eye contact would destroy Fang Yuan’s soul completely. Using it safely needs two golden eye Gu, so Tie Mu Bai evidently had golden eyes. ^{ch. 379}

Fang Yuan also excavates four high quality rank four metal path Gu: golden dragon Gu, golden breeze Gu, golden coat Gu and golden aurora Gu, and keeps all the Gu in his aperture. He then activates beast strength placenta Gu around the corpse’s stomach. The shrinking aperture flies out, and the wild beast inside the placenta devours it. The rough Gu turns lustrous, thick and tightly packed like a concrete brick. The blessed land’s original owner designed it to plunder apertures, a demonic path method, since apertures are the main ingredient of second aperture Gu. Where others might feel guilt, Fang Yuan feels no pressure at all in using it. In his previous life he killed people across more than ten thousand miles, over ten million in all, to refine Spring Autumn Cicada. ^{ch. 379}

Tie Mu Bai’s aperture alone raises the future second aperture Gu’s aptitude to forty percent. Better and more numerous apertures raise it higher, so Fang Yuan laughs and plans a killing spree against Gu Masters. He killed the Tie clan group to enrage Tie clan into sending a rank five Gu Master, which would break the balance and draw in more of them. In battle strength Tie Mu Bai outclassed Fang Yuan more than a hundredfold. But in the three kings inheritance Gu Masters are restricted by heavenly power, cannot use their Gu and become extremely fragile, while the land spirit lets only Fang Yuan use his. Tie Mu Bai could not even self-detonate, and his three rank five Gu, restricted too, give up and change owners as Fang Yuan’s primeval essence refines them. ^{ch. 379}

Ba Gui warns that transporting Fang Yuan and supporting his attack cost quite a bit of immortal essence. Fang Yuan has already counted the cost as half a portion of sixteen. He plans at least eight portions for the refinement, four to sustain the blessed land, a bit more than three for killing, and the last kept for emergencies. Ba Gui corrects him: refining needs ten portions, maintaining the inheritance only two, and the blessed land will be closed once enough people are dead. ^{ch. 379}

Fang Yuan answers that primeval stones can replace some steps and save two portions. He insists the land spirit keep the inheritance open, since closing it would expose his killing of rank five Gu Masters and draw stronger foes. Gu Masters left inside could not be expelled without wasting essence, and late in the refinement, with the blessed land near collapse and open to the outside, Ba Gui’s hall would be found and the refinement would likely fail. Ba Gui admits the point. The method, he says, needs at least thirty million primeval stones. Fang Yuan has only a million but laughs that rank four and rank five Gu Masters are definitely rich, so killing them will supply the rest. Ba Gui agrees that his help will shrink and that the final, most important step will follow Fang Yuan’s suggestion. ^{ch. 379}
