Kunlun bull strength is the upgrade of Fang Yuan's green bull phantom into the phantom of a mutated beast.
Outside Century Boy’s cave, Fang Yuan gives up defending and activates bitter strength Gu, since the more injured he gets the more strength he can exert. A bullcry sounds, and a large green bull phantom appears above his head. The bull has a huge body twice the size of an elephant, a highly raised back that is thick and solid, and green moss growing over it. The text calls it the mutated beast kunlun bull, of the same status as Biao, dragon-elephant, thunder boar and rock crocodile. Fang Yuan exerts the strength of a kunlun bull, the strike makes the air explode, and Century Boy is sent flying through more than ten trees. ch. 368
The kunlun bull phantom replaces the green bull phantom, as the thunder boar and rock crocodile phantoms replace boar and crocodile. It fights with brute force and its horn, and its back is like tough mountain rock. The narration calls it one of three rank four phantoms that Fang Yuan’s rank three all-out effort Gu cannot summon at will. ch. 368
Mutated beast
Ordinary beasts cannot compare in worth with mutated beasts. The narration’s second example is green bull against kunlun bull, after boar against thunder boar. ch. 409
Stacking limit
Previously Fang Yuan had used a kunlun bull strength Gu and obtained the beast phantom of the kunlun bull. A second kunlun bull strength Gu would have no effect and would give no second phantom. The same passage sets the rank four strength of ten jun Gu below rank four beast strength Gu. The text does not state a rank for kunlun bull strength Gu itself. ch. 443
