Tie Mian Shen

He wears a martial uniform with light armor on chest and legs, and a thick iron mask on his face. ^{ch. 1340}

He arrives before Qiao Zhi Cai and Wu Yong as a rank seven Gu Immortal. After seeing two corpses he declares the killer was not Qiao Zhi Cai, says someone mimicked wooden statue murder, and asks whether Wu Yong has heard of Seven Illusions Demon Immortal. Narration ties the iron mask on his face to cultivating the Iron Mask true inheritance rather than a worn disguise, and a grand voice earlier names that inheritance as the path once considered for Tie Ruo Nan’s father and then for her. ^{ch. 1340}

Tie Mian Shen uses his immortal killer move to investigate the area for clues to the Seven Illusions Demon Immortal, and with him leading the way, he, Wu Yong, and Qiao Zhi Cai return an hour later to the blood tide pit. When the pit’s blood tide erupts into an army of blood beasts, Wu Yong destroys hundreds of them without visible effort while Tie Mian Shen watches his back with a solemn expression, and the pit that had oozed blood earlier is left drying up, because the beasts were formed out of its tide. The destroyed beasts then gather into a blood river that traps the three of them inside a purple blood river formation, and only after Wu Yong’s wind dragon splits that river in two does Tie Mian Shen judge that Wu Yong is hiding far greater battle strength than the rumors say. A figure emerges from the blood river and reveals himself as the formation’s creator, the rank eight Purple Mountain True Monarch. ^{ch. 1341}

Qiao Si Liu tells Fang Yuan that, alongside Wu Yong and Qiao Zhi Cai, Tie clan’s Tie Mian Shen has gone missing while investigating the deaths of Wu Yuan Ju and Rong Hao, and that nobody yet knows whether the three are alive. ^{ch. 1343}

Trapped inside the purple blood river formation, Tie Mian Shen raises an iron sand veil of fog around himself, but the attacking purple thoughts turn from solid to phantom and pass through it unobstructed. A clear wind from Wu Yong bursts the phantom thoughts before they reach him, and Tie Mian Shen looks back at Wu Yong with a look of gratitude. ^{ch. 1344}

A message from Wu Yong reaches Fang Yuan reporting that Wu Yong, Qiao Zhi Cai, and Tie Mian Shen are all alive and only trapped for the time being, and that they are trying to reach the giant dream realm battlefield by Immortal Gu House. ^{ch. 1361}

Narration states that Wu Yong’s performance in the purple blood river formation has been spread throughout Southern Border’s Gu Immortal world by Tie Mian Shen, and that the speed of that circulation is not in doubt. ^{ch. 1378}

As Southern Border’s Gu Immortals march on Plunder Shadow Earth Trench, Tie Mian Shen’s earlier account of Wu Yong’s strength leaves them increasingly apprehensive, even fearful, of Wu clan’s first supreme elder. ^{ch. 1381}
