Qiao Si Liu

Hosting the festival, she brews a single cup of her signature willow spiral tea and gives it to Fang Yuan as Wu Yi Hai rather than to either of her two declared pursuers. When he offers seawater instead of a rival tea, she tastes it and calls it the most special tea she has ever had. ^{ch. 1317}

She tells him the moon festival’s origin story, of a mortal youth who wins a Gu Master’s daughter by brewing tea, reciting a rain-summoning poem and finding a Gu worm inside a stone. She then invites him to drop the title Fairy Si Liu and call her Si Liu. ^{ch. 1318}

She privately doubts that Luo Mu Zi wrote the poem he recites, guessing he probably took someone else’s work. Rather than continuing to shield Fang Yuan from her other suitors’ pressure, she meets his eyes and tells him she wants to hear his own poem. ^{ch. 1319}

After the festival, Qiao clan’s first supreme elder asks her opinion of Wu Yi Hai and she answers that she agrees with pursuing him. When he calls Wu Yi Hai a rare opportunity for Qiao clan to reach into Wu clan’s core, she says she understands, though her expression shows reluctance. ^{ch. 1320}

Though still angry at his attitude during the moon festival, Qiao Si Liu is unable to refuse Fang Yuan’s renewed pursuit because of her clan’s orders. ^{ch. 1321}

A marriage between her and Wu Yi Hai is described as letting him use Qiao clan to raise his authority inside Wu clan, while letting Qiao clan finally reach Wu clan’s inner core through a son-in-law. ^{ch. 1322}

When Chi Shang decides to confront Fang Yuan as Wu Yi Hai over her, he informs her of the dispute through an information path Gu worm. ^{ch. 1329}

Her own letter to Fang Yuan recounts first meeting Chi clan first supreme elder Chi Qu You’s son Chi Bang on a Qiao clan mission, where his advances toward her disrespected Qiao clan and led her to deliberately draw closer to Chi Shang instead. ^{ch. 1331}

Fang Yuan reads her letter as confirming that Chi Shang’s feelings are one-sided; narration ranks Chi Shang as the purest of her suitors, though even he still considers the element of formation path. ^{ch. 1332}

As Fang Yuan and Chi Shang exchange letters each praising the other’s formation path attainment, she reads them and finds that her two suitors have praised each other enough to forget about her. ^{ch. 1333}

She bursts into the hall and asks Fang Yuan as Wu Yi Hai whether he still has the mood to sit with a woman at a time like this, then, once Lady White Rabbit is sent out, tells him that Wu Yong is missing with his life tablet Gu and soul lantern Gu destroyed and Wu clan thrown into chaos. She urges him, as Wu Yong’s closest bloodline relative with sufficient cultivation, to take over as Wu clan’s first supreme elder and hold its authority from that day. ^{ch. 1342}

She tells him anxiously that the urgent matter is to get back to Wu clan, where Wu Ba Chong has already gathered the supreme elders and the others have purposely left Wu Yi Hai out. Pressed for what Qiao clan’s first supreme elder Qiao Zhi Cai will do, she admits he vanished with Wu Yong, his life tablet Gu broken and no contact possible, last seen investigating the deaths of Wu Yuan Ju and Rong Hao alongside Wu Yong and Tie Mian Shen. She tells Fang Yuan that Qiao clan has already reached a consensus and named her its representative to back his takeover bid regardless. Fang Yuan privately notes that Qiao clan, Southern Border’s weakest super force, still carries out its plans in unison even leaderless. ^{ch. 1343}

She approves when Fang Yuan orders Wu clan’s Gu Immortals to abandon the outlying resource points and pull back to Wu Yi Mountain, then accepts his refusal to travel there himself, on the grounds that the road is too dangerous for two rank sevens with the mastermind still at large. She agrees instead that they should wait to be escorted by an Immortal Gu House. ^{ch. 1344}

She reports that Ba clan and Xia clan have annexed Qiao clan’s wedding dress lake and empty origin pit while Qiao Zhi Cai remains missing, on top of Wu clan’s own losses, so that five super forces are now moving against the Wu-Qiao alliance at once. When Fang Yuan decides to abandon the super Gu formation site temporarily and leave together with Qiao clan’s Gu Immortals, she questions only what becomes of the Immortal Gu used to build the formation, then has Qiao clan Gu Immortal Qiao Bo prepare their people to leave as one group. ^{ch. 1346}

She is a rank seven Gu Immortal when she faces Fairy Miao Yin, with Hei Lou Lan and Bai Ning Bing at rank six beside Miao Yin, after calling Fang Yuan for help inside the super Gu formation. ^{ch. 1349} Fairy Miao Yin and Qiao Si Liu are two of the three current generation great fairies of Southern Border, fighting on par in a deadlock during that stretch. ^{ch. 1356}

After Fang Yuan single-handedly holds the super Gu formation against grey night, Qiao Si Liu, who had not held good feelings for him before, watches him with a pounding heart and a wondrous feeling. ^{ch. 1357}

When Wu Yi Hai goes missing and most of Southern Border’s Gu Immortals retreat, Qiao Si Liu states her belief that he is alive and well before leaving with Qiao clan’s Gu Immortals. ^{ch. 1375}
