Qiao Si Liu recalls that when she visited Chi clan as Qiao clan envoy, Chi Qu You’s son Chi Bang attended her and hit on her with scenery and poems, which she treated as disrespectful to Qiao clan. Narration places him as the supposed next first supreme elder with second highest authority in the clan, checked mainly by Chi Shang, and notes he became immortal under Chi Qu You’s protection while lacking capability. ch. 1331

Father’s succession plan
Fang Yuan tells Chi Qu You that Chi Bang is his son but lacks the ability to become first supreme elder, which is why Chi Qu You needed Chi Shang to help him. Chi Qu You knows Chi Bang lacks talent yet still wants him to succeed, while fearing Chi clan could be destroyed in Chi Bang’s hands. ch. 1593
First supreme elder crisis
After Chi Qu You dies in the fate war, Chi Bang inherits first supreme elder through arrangements already made. Facing Yang clan’s move on the Roar inheritance, he asks Chi Da Pi, Chi Gui, and Chi Shang for counsel, then accepts Wu Yong’s offer to ally, expel Yang clan, leave the inheritance to Chi clan, and send an Immortal Gu House, in exchange for Chi clan forming immortal formations at Wu clan resource points. ch. 2078
Ba clan and Chi Xu Zhi
He says Ba clan failed to help Chi clan and instead tried to support Chi Xu Zhi when he was about to take the position, then decides to ally with Wu clan and send Ba clan a letter of explanation. Wu Yong laughs that this young Chi Bang is no cause for concern. ch. 2079
