Purple Blood River Traps Wu Yong
Tie Mian Shen tells Wu Yong he can locate the Seven Illusions Demon Immortal. Tie clan has built countermeasures against the true inheritance since it once captured one of its holders. He tracks the trail east with his killer move, losing and recovering it repeatedly, until after an hour it leads the three Gu Immortals back to blood tide pit itself. The pit erupts, and an army of blood beasts, creatures born directly from blood path dao marks rather than bred, surges out and charges them. Tie Mian Shen asks Wu Yong softly whether blood tide pit is truly a blood beast breeding ground, and Wu Yong shows surprise. The blood beasts destroyed earlier turn into bloody water and gather into a river beneath them while countless purple thoughts rain down, and Qiao Zhi Cai names the beasts only a prelude and a trap. Tie Mian Shen asks whether this is a super Gu formation, but even his investigative abilities cannot see through the place. Wu Yong shields the group with a wind tornado, then sends out a dark jade worm that grows into a wind dragon two hundred and twenty feet long and crashes into the river, which spirals to try to devour it. ch. 1341
Wu Yong’s eyes flash green and the wind dragon becomes countless jade wind blades. The blades break the spiral and split the river in two, a second style Tie Mian Shen marks as proof Wu Yong hides far greater strength than his reputation suggests. The split river only reforms into two rivers equally as large, and even his fierce attacks change nothing. ch. 1341
A full-sized Purple Mountain True Monarch rises from the river, no longer concealing his rank eight aura. He names it his purple blood river formation. He tells Wu Yong that unless he uses the two rank eight Immortal Gu his mother Wu Du Xiu left him, his rank eight gentle wind Gu alone cannot break it. Asked his purpose, he answers: to kill Wu Yong, so that Wu clan falls into commotion, other clans attack it, and it breaks apart. Wu Yong laughs in fury, vows to kill him instead and raise his own rank eight prestige, and begins conjuring a killer move whose aura, unlike his earlier concealed strikes, blazes openly like a raging storm. Purple Mountain True Monarch unleashes another storm of countless purple thoughts. At Wu clan’s ancestral hall, the guardian Gu Immortal watches Wu Yong’s life tablet Gu and soul lantern Gu shatter and cries out that their lord may be dead. ch. 1341
