Only Tie Dao Ku remains as a Bai clan prisoner when he recalls the blast. Tie Ao Tian stands in the middle of the explosion and dies before he can activate a defensive Gu, leaving only a palm sized piece of flesh. Other clansmen die with him. Tie Dao Ku buries what he can, marks a rock tomb, and reads the site as nearly a hundred charred thunder potato Gu buried together. ch. 220
Pursuit question
Freed as a Bai clan guest, Tie Dao Ku stares at Fang Yuan and Bai Ning Bing in colorful smoke and asks whether those two set the explosion trap and whether they are the ones behind young master Tie Ao Tian’s death. He also holds open the chance it is a misunderstanding. ch. 221
