Dao Marks and Attainment

Realm for a path is the Gu Master’s understanding of that path’s Great Dao. It is generally divided into ordinary, quasi-master, master, quasi-grandmaster, grandmaster, quasi-great grandmaster, great grandmaster, quasi-supreme grandmaster, and supreme grandmaster. Most Gu Masters stay ordinary for life. Quasi-masters are geniuses or old, experienced Gu Masters, and masters are extremely rare. ^{ch. 687}

Attainment levels for using Gu are also framed as five main levels: ordinary, master, grandmaster, great grandmaster, and supreme grandmaster. ^{ch. 810 ch. 844} The quasi steps sit between those main levels. ^{ch. 687} Master is when use of Gu advances to the level of an art through talent or long accumulation. Grandmaster is a profound grasp of one’s own path, deep enough to use that path’s methods to make use of the specialty traits and advantages of other paths. ^{ch. 810}

Attainment is a person’s condensed comprehension of the Great Dao from thinking, emotion, and experience with Gu. Soul search can take memories, but not attainment levels; the method named for acquiring another person’s attainment is successful exploration of their dream realm. ^{ch. 810}

Near Snowy Mountain blessed land, battle zones can be completely transformed by dao marks, including areas filled with ice path dao marks. ^{ch. 813}

When Fang Yuan lists what makes a blessed land hard to take, he ends on one overall measure: the quantity of dao marks. ^{ch. 820} Blessed lands and grotto-heavens as immortal apertures are covered on blessed lands and grotto-heavens.

A turbulent flow sea inheritance holds a skeleton full of bone path dao marks, treated as a quasi rank eight immortal material. ^{ch. 1156}

A wound is hard to heal because of the conflict between dao marks: Fang Yuan’s ancient sword dragon transformation leaves behind large amounts of sword path dao marks in anyone it injures, which Tai Bai Yun Sheng’s fragile human body finds very hard to endure. ^{ch. 1257}

One thousand dao marks of a path can double a killer move’s effect, ten thousand can give ten times the amplification, and fifty thousand can give fifty times the amplification; an ordinary rank seven Gu Immortal carries roughly ten thousand to thirty thousand dao marks of their own main path. ^{ch. 1310}

Enchantment emotion path never left wisdom path: there are no enchantment emotion path dao marks in this world, only wisdom path dao marks. ^{ch. 1340}

On average, an earthly calamity gives a Gu Immortal about two hundred and fifty dao marks, a heavenly tribulation about seven hundred and fifty, a grand tribulation about seven thousand two hundred and fifty, and a myriad tribulation about eighty-six thousand seven hundred and fifty. ^{ch. 1389}

In Crazed Demon Cave, Fang Yuan identifies carpet-like painting path dao marks that can ride foreign marks without crumbling, and round, grass-and-food-scented marks he guesses are pill path dao marks. ^{ch. 1865}

Hidden space island stays fixed against sea currents because it is filled with phantom path dao marks. ^{ch. 1901}

Moon Bowl mountain is valued as a large resource point because it contains abundant moon path dao marks. ^{ch. 2168}
