New Dao Mark, Venerable Paths!
In the sixth layer, Secret Schemer heals the injured Not Immortal, who wakes, thanks him and asks where Fang Yuan is. Secret Schemer says Fang Yuan remains in the seventh layer, too late to retreat. Not Immortal sighs that the mighty Fang Yuan will perish there. Secret Schemer still has a strange feeling that Fang Yuan can survive, though he can deduce no way and suspects it is only his hope. They plan to rest first and search the seventh layer once the demonic sounds stop completely. The two move slowly into the darkness, unaware that Fang Yuan is alive and has made a new discovery. ch. 1865
In the seventh layer, Fang Yuan finds brand-new dao marks among the dazzling waves, never seen before despite his greatly broadened vision. The demonic sound has set all dao marks moving and united those of similar paths, so these marks have grown larger and easier to see. From the new dao mark he perceives blades, swords, axes, halberds and other weapons. It represents a brand-new path that would encompass sword path and blade path, with very strong battle strength and many profundities of human path. Creating it would take generations, though witnessing this scene would help hugely anyone with the thought and foundation to try. Fang Yuan feels no regret and will not create it himself, since his own paths keep him busy and a new path costs an extremely huge amount of time and energy. ch. 1865
Along the way he sees round, smooth dao marks that seem to smell of grass and food, and guesses they are pill path dao marks. He also sees a carpet-like patch that attaches lightly to other dao marks without crumbling, and takes it, if he is not wrong, for painting path dao marks. He cannot capture them while the demonic sounds ring. Fang clan holds Thieving Heaven Demon Venerable’s Immortal Gu House Thieves Den, and he wonders whether it can steal the dao marks here. Immortal materials in the cave are valueless because their dao marks are chaotic, but the dao marks are not useless. ch. 1865
From the soul of Fang Di Chang, now his clone, Fang Yuan has plundered almost everything about Fang clan, including Thieves Den. Thieves Den is very damaged because the clan is not proficient in theft path, and lacking its complete contents, the clan could never restore it. Its one remaining ability uses theft path immortal materials as catalyst, consuming their theft path dao marks and stealing outside dao marks, which leave the materials filled with disorderly marks and worthless. Thieves Den cannot use what it steals, so Fang Yuan never thought of seizing it. Here identical dao marks gather, so Thieves Den could create usable immortal materials of the respective paths, an endless supply of rank eight and even rank nine materials. Such wealth could serve transactions, Gu refinement and comprehending each path. Painting or pill path materials made this way would be great reference for creating those paths. ch. 1865
Similar dao marks gather only while the demonic sounds ring, when activating immortal moves carries extreme risk of failure and backlash. Fang Yuan might not even be able to bring Thieves Den out, since unlike the sovereign immortal body it would meet conflicting force and shatter. Fang Yuan sees huge technical difficulties and gives up the idea for the moment. He moves faster, since the dao marks are harmless to him, and dream path dao marks prove harmless too. His killer move holds against the demonic sounds even in shortened form. ch. 1865
At the eighth layer’s entrance he sees three paths: one golden with surging luck, one dark with killing intent, and one humble and plain with a virtuous aura. He identifies them as traces of Giant Sun Immortal Venerable, Spectral Soul Demon Venerable and Paradise Earth Immortal Venerable, filled with luck path, soul path and earth path dao marks. Their dao marks stand incomparably firm amid the colliding currents, peeled only at the edges. The venerables came here by charging forward forcefully despite conflicting dao marks. Fang Yuan is not surprised, having somewhat predicted it, since Limitless Demon Venerable is the third venerable in history and others could find what the Three Crazed Demon Eccentrics found. ch. 1865
He wonders why traces of only these three venerables appear, and only near the eighth layer’s entrance. Doubts in mind, he jumps through the entrance and lands on solid ground. The eighth layer far surpasses his expectation and has no resemblance to the seventh. Fang Yuan is dumbstruck. ch. 1865
