Water Path Dao Marks

Lang Ya land spirit explains that Lang Ya blessed land was placed near Crescent Lake because that area has a lot of water path dao marks and refinement path dao marks. With immortal tribulation tempering aperture, water path and refinement path calamities often occur; after they are passed, the immortal aperture gains water path and refinement path dao marks. A hundred and eighty thousand years earlier Lang Ya blessed land had no seas; the vast ocean and the landmass reduced to three continents are the effect of a huge number of water path dao marks. ^{ch. 1051}

An immemorial desolate elephant corpse holds an abundant number of water path dao marks in its bones and skin. Even after death those marks affect the area at all times: there is no wind, silence, and no signs of life around the corpse. Over decades, centuries, or millennia the corpse’s water path dao marks dissipate while the surroundings reject other paths until water path remains primary and equilibrium is reached. Mu Ling Lan is a water path Gu Immortal with special water path dao marks that allow him to breathe underwater. Fang Yuan lacks that advantage when fighting in water and must surface to breathe. ^{ch. 1282}
