Mu Ling Lan

Love Gu sends him into Snowy Mountain blessed land with Zhao Lian Yun, Bu Zhen Zi, Yu Yi Ye Zi, and Shi Zheng Yi. Narration restates him as a Spirit Butterfly Valley water path Gu Immortal of rank seven. He bluffs Hair Mistress about rank eight support behind them, then offers to be main attacker. Hair Mistress describes a super Gu formation that links snowy peak lords to Reverse Flow River, amplifying defenders and suppressing invaders. Mu Ling Lan tests her with a water wave that a hair dam blocks, proving the contrast, then escapes her hall when she turns hostile. ^{ch. 1250}

He leads the main attack on Hair Mistress. His immortal killer move summons three giant light blue water wolves, and his snake wave stab cannot pierce her hair ball. A deep blue water snake from his fingernail becomes phantom under Bu Zhen Zi, then solid again to pierce her heart. The two rank sevens make the biggest contributions to defeating her. ^{ch. 1251}

As Spirit Butterfly Valley supreme elder he speaks of Thieving Heaven Demon Venerable failing to take Reverse Flow River from the Door of Life and Death, and of that river later being taken by someone else. The sect’s information gathering skill lets him know many such secrets. ^{ch. 1252}

Alone and wounded on the eighth peak against Xiao Fei Fei, he warns Zhao Lian Yun about a memory-erasing immortal killer move, then after long preparation unleashes a fatal killer move that kills Xiao Fei Fei when she exposes herself attacking Zhao Lian Yun. ^{ch. 1266}

Inside Reverse Flow River he covers Zhao Lian Yun, who is a false immortal with a phantom aperture. Water path dao marks let him breathe freely underwater and swim well while he protects her and clears crises. ^{ch. 1277}

He pushes the weak Zhao Lian Yun into Ma Hong Yun’s arms, turns to grab Old Ancestor Xue Hu’s waist, and stalls the rank eight long enough for the pair to flee. Xue Hu’s dao marks far surpass his; kicks break his bones and dye the water red. More than ten breaths later he stops breathing and dies. Wei Ling Yang calls that Central Continent and Heavenly Court will remember the sacrifice. ^{ch. 1279}

Narration later contrasts Fang Yuan with the dead Mu Ling Lan: as a water path Gu Immortal he had special water path dao marks that allowed him to breathe underwater. ^{ch. 1282}
