Attainment

Realm represents understanding of Great Dao. A Gu Master’s strength path realm is understanding of the Dao of strength. Realm divides into ordinary, quasi-master, master, quasi-grandmaster, grandmaster, quasi-great grandmaster, great grandmaster, quasi-supreme grandmaster, and supreme grandmaster. ^{ch. 687}

Most Gu Masters stay ordinary for life. Quasi-masters are geniuses or old, experienced Gu Masters. Masters are extremely rare. Refinement path supreme grandmasters across human history number only three in that stretch: Long Hair Ancestor, Old Eccentric Tian Nan, and Old Immortal Kong Jue. ^{ch. 687}

Every advancement of realm upgrades battle strength because deeper understanding of law fragments lets Gu Masters refine better Gu, create more killer moves, and display greater dominance of their paths. Progress normally needs long accumulation before a qualitative jump. ^{ch. 687}

Attainment levels for using Gu also frame as five main levels: ordinary, master, grandmaster, great grandmaster, and supreme grandmaster. ^{ch. 810 ch. 844} The quasi steps sit between those main levels: quasi-master, quasi-grandmaster, and quasi-great grandmaster, with quasi-supreme grandmaster below the top step. ^{ch. 687 ch. 1326}

Master is when use of Gu advances to the level of an art through talent or long accumulation. Grandmaster is a profound grasp of one’s own path, deep enough to use that path’s methods to make use of specialty traits and advantages of other paths. ^{ch. 810}

Attainment levels are a person’s unique thinking, emotional experiences, and insights from using Gu, summed and condensed into comprehension of the Great Dao. Soul search can take memories and secrets, but not attainment levels. The method named for acquiring another person’s attainment is successful exploration of their dream realm. ^{ch. 810}

Attainment level is a Gu Master’s unique cognition: sensations, experiences, and insights toward nurturing, using, and refining Gu, condensed into comprehension of the Great Dao of heaven and earth. Ordinary attainment is the level most Gu Masters reach in their lifetimes. Quasi-master attainment is already rare: young Gu Masters with outstanding aptitude or experienced old Gu Masters can reach it. Those who possess quasi-grandmaster attainment are often elites among rank six Gu Immortals. Grandmaster is mostly held by rank seven Gu Immortals. Quasi-great grandmaster is rarer still, often rank seven experts or certain rank eights. ^{ch. 1326}

Dream realms contain true meaning. Successful exploration that obtains that true meaning raises attainment level directly and deepens understanding of part of the Great Dao. ^{ch. 1326}

Ordinary Attainment, Quasi-Master Attainment, Master Attainment, Quasi-Grandmaster Attainment, Grandmaster Attainment, Quasi-Great Grandmaster, Great Grandmaster, Quasi-Supreme, and Supreme Grandmaster each cover one step of the ladder.
