Reaching master level takes abundant talent, or long training and accumulation. ch. 810
Rarity among Gu Masters
Masters are extremely rare. In the Imperial Court contest, of everyone who got inside Imperial Court blessed land, only Fang Yuan and Tai Bai Yun Sheng held master level attainment in flying, and only five people held master level in enslavement path across the whole contest. The five were Jiang Bao Ya, Yang Po Ying, Ma Zun, Nu Er Tu, and Fang Yuan under the Chang Shan Yin name. ch. 687
Among Gu Immortals
It is rare to find even one master among ten thousand Gu Masters. That one-in-ten-thousand figure refers to mortals. For rank six Gu Immortals, the main path is at least master level. ch. 1326
Swallowing blessed lands
By Lang Ya land spirit’s account, swallowing a rank six blessed land takes master level attainment in that realm. ch. 731
