Chapter 1249

Ying Wu Xie feels the luck above his head shaking intensely: Fang Yuan has strengthened qi luck sensation so far that hiding inside an immortal aperture could not evade it. Sensing Fang Yuan closing in, Ying Wu Xie orders the group into the same immortal level Gu formation that once trapped them, now meant to face him instead. Bai Ning Bing’s inheritance from Bai Xiang grotto-heaven has greatly lifted the whole group’s strength, and her investigative methods now surpass those of Ying Wu Xie, Hei Lou Lan, and the rest. She is first to notice him, a sword dragon crossing the clouds above the southern sea, and steps forward to ask whether he dares enter their formation. ^{ch. 1249}

Fang Yuan is only slightly stunned to see her, more beautiful now as a dragon lady yet still recognizably herself. He had not expected to meet her here. They have not met since Three Kings blessed land, where she betrayed him and they parted. The group presses on at full strength. Near the tunnel’s end, a giant ghost face suddenly appears, completely blocking the way and roaring without sound, and the tunnel begins to collapse around them. The ghost face is Spectral Soul Demon Venerable’s own work, laid over Thieving Heaven Demon Venerable’s tunnel. The space path chaotic currents scatter the three houses away from each other, and a giant hole opens like a beast’s mouth and swallows Canary Pavilion with Myriad Tidal Dragon inside within a few breaths. Wind Sweeping Building and Edge Link Camp hold on but are shredded apart, and as Zhao Lian Yun begs love Gu to save her the building breaks apart completely, many of its immortals cut to pieces. Love Gu answers with an immensely bright light that shields her alone, spreads to the four nearest, and carries all five through a hole that opens into Snowy Mountain blessed land. ^{ch. 1249}
