Chapter 1373

Purple Mountain True Monarch truly leaves Heavenly Court no resources. His remaining Immortal Gu died with him, his soul scatters beyond Duke Long’s reach, and even his dao marks dissipate, leaving a corpse of zero value that Duke Long drops. Soul beasts surround Duke Long, but none of them dares attack him and he moves among them unhindered. He confirms Spectral Soul’s main body seized and most of its split souls destroyed, then turns to sweep the battlefield. His immortal killer move dragon gate lets him freely enter and leave blessed lands and grotto-heavens, and a closed entrance cannot trap him inside Shadow Sect’s blessed land. Shadow Sect’s blessed land then begins self-detonating, forcing him to change plan. He must take the Door of Life and Death out before the blessed land collapses, since its destruction would raise winds of assimilation that this important secluded domain could not survive. ^{ch. 1373}

Outside the blessed land, several Pure Dream Reality Seeker Physique bodies flee dream realms. Dream path dao marks still do not let them stay inside dream realms indefinitely, and they must come out when their time is up. They are flawed rather than complete extreme physique bodies, made by Purple Mountain True Monarch at the cost of his own soul, and are themselves lingering split souls of Spectral Soul Demon Venerable. The super Gu formation teleports them to safety before Southern Border’s righteous Gu Immortals can kill them. They pay respects to Fang Yuan, Shadow Sect’s new leader. From the bodies’ immortal apertures emerge Hei Lou Lan, Bai Ning Bing, Fairy Miao Yin and Black Tigress, and each greets Fang Yuan as lord sect leader except Bai Ning Bing, who only remarks that they are working together again. Ying Wu Xie remains trapped in a dream realm. ^{ch. 1373}

Fang Yuan judges the Pure Dream Reality Seeker bodies short-lived cannon fodder. Of Shadow Sect’s members only six matter to him: Ying Wu Xie, Hei Lou Lan, Bai Ning Bing, Fairy Miao Yin, Black Tigress and Sixth Hair, the sect’s spy inside Lang Ya blessed land. He judges Hei Lou Lan most trustworthy, since she cannot betray him. Miao Yin and Black Tigress belong to Shadow Sect through Purple Mountain True Monarch’s true inheritances, and having inherited everything, Fang Yuan now holds both firmly. Ying Wu Xie and Sixth Hair, split souls of Spectral Soul, must acknowledge him, though whether they obey willingly rests on his leadership. Bai Ning Bing, an equal ally rather than a subordinate, is hardest to control. He sets Hei Lou Lan to hold the super Gu formation and frees Ying Wu Xie from the dream realm with the killer move Unravel Dream. ^{ch. 1373}

Ying Wu Xie emerges broken and listless, all drive gone now that Spectral Soul is captured, Purple Mountain True Monarch is dead, and his hopes are shattered. Fang Yuan orders him to hand over the inheritances Purple Mountain True Monarch left in his immortal aperture. Despite his despair, Ying Wu Xie complies, releasing Purple Mountain True Monarch’s will along with rank eight immortal essence and Immortal Gu. Fang Yuan steps back warily. The will then transfers everything to him, and he refines all of the Immortal Gu, his gains proving huge, exceeding what he expected. Purple Mountain True Monarch, wanting Fang Yuan to save these people without demanding anything, could only pass the inheritances through Ying Wu Xie. ^{ch. 1373}
