Chapter 1948

On Heavenly Court’s battlefield, Wu Yong activates Finger Wind Dragon but meets the joint attack of Prince Feng Xian, Zhou Xiong Xin and Ye Qiao Zi. They force him back into Clear Jade Dripping Wind Tiny Bamboo Building and stop his plan to approach Heaven Overseeing Tower. Then white lights enter his body, as the human path killer moves Hope of the People and Heroes Among People amplify the Southern Border Gu Immortals. Fang Yuan, amplified too, praises Shen Shang. ^{ch. 1948}

Duke Long cannot receive the amplification, being a dragonman and so a variant human, while Fang Yuan’s restored human form is still a pure human. Fang Yuan sends him flying. Old Man Zheng Yuan, who is not dead and has left Central Great Hall, reports that someone in Emperor City poured the human will of the other four regions into Central Continent. The two moves tell allies apart by human will, so Gu Immortals of all five regions are now amplified, and the old man has no confidence in reversing it. ^{ch. 1948}

The soul sphere in Fairy Zi Wei’s hands wonders whether it is Shen Shang, shaking lightly as if laughing to itself. It shakes again, calling this worthy of Paradise Earth. The information she once gave Duke Long, with Shen Shang’s location in it, was given under Spectral Soul’s influence. Duke Long trusted her, and events ended with Shen Shang leaving Dragon Whale Paradise to infiltrate Emperor City. ^{ch. 1948}

Central Heaven Gate still admits Gu Immortals, and a second batch of Northern Plains reinforcements arrives under the rank eight Yao Huang and Heavenly Lord Bai Zu, with Chu Du and Sun Ming Lu behind them. They bring three Immortal Gu Houses for the rank seven Gu Immortals, and Bai Zu charges to reinforce Calamity Luck Altar. Bing Sai Chuan inside has been besieged by Heavenly Court’s main force, and golden pearls block his attacks on the refinement path formation. Wu Yong and his allies pin down most of the divided main force. Dragon Palace, controlled from inside by Wu Shuai and Zhan Bu Du, crashes through the battlefield. Feng Jiu Ge must avoid it, destiny song slows, and Fang Yuan sends Duke Long flying again. ^{ch. 1948}

A huge figure appears: Di Zang Sheng slams its claws on Duke Long, driving him into the ground in a hundred feet deep crater. Its enormous body presses down, shaking Heavenly Court and leaving a shallow trench from east to west that ruins everything in its path. Duke Long has escaped with dragon gate and floats above. His sunken chest bulges back to its previous state. ^{ch. 1948}

Myriad Year Flying Warship takes Fang Yuan in again, and he ignores Duke Long to charge Heaven Overseeing Tower. The force at the tower is barely resisting Calamity Luck Altar and is on the verge of collapse. Duke Long orders everyone to protect the tower and blocks the warship with dragon gate. Wu Shuai frees the suppressed Jun Shen Guang and Vortex Space Boy to activate dreamy light smoke again, and Duke Long must dodge, leaving Fang Yuan a path. Far away, Feng Jin Huang hides in an inconspicuous Immortal Gu House, her methods useless against this dream path move. Destiny song then sounds once more, raising Heavenly Court and weakening Fang Yuan’s group. ^{ch. 1948}

Eight Eastern Sea immortals enter through Central Heaven Gate and join the siege, slightly surprising Fang Yuan. Shen Shang explains that the amplification also brought the four regions’ human will, so outsiders under it hate Heavenly Court even more. He says Fang Yuan controlling Central Heaven Gate was beyond his expectation, and he will join through it soon. Fang Yuan never expected the gate’s change either, but even if someone schemes in the dark, he rides the tide to defeat Heavenly Court and destroy fate Gu. Just as Shen Shang is about to accept the transportation, black fire appears on his body. His internal threat erupts, and he sinks into madness. ^{ch. 1948}

Old Man Zheng Yuan senses the enemy’s strength vanish and tries to retake control. Fairy Zi Wei appears before him, and he retreats, but the soul sphere enters his body from behind. His eyes turn completely black like hers, and he greets the sphere as master. Spectral Soul has no Immortal Gu, but his soul beast modification killer move has become an innate ability to modify any soul and win complete loyalty. Fairy Zi Wei offers to subdue Feng Jin Huang, but Spectral Soul refuses for now, saying Feng Jin Huang’s luck is second only to Red Lotus Demon Venerable and Feng Jiu Ge alone is a huge problem. Heavenly Court gathers around Heaven Overseeing Tower, and its situation has become extremely perilous. Duke Long blocks Fang Yuan and Feng Jiu Ge suppresses Di Zang Sheng, but both are disadvantaged because they must defend the tower. The golden pearl soldiers are completely destroyed, and Heavenly Court’s main force keeps retreating. Fairy Zi Wei says its defeat is imminent. ^{ch. 1948}

On the tower’s top floor only Yuan Qiong Du still stands, while Cong Yan and Che Wei lie on the verge of death with no one to heal them. When Heavenly Court’s main force arrived, they easily handled the bound Qi Ci Lang, who was beheaded and died with grievance. The refinement path Gu formation is destroyed, so Yuan Qiong Du restores fate Gu alone. A heavy attack shakes the tower and disturbs his refinement, and he coughs out a large mouthful of blood and falls unconscious. Fate Gu’s restoration is forcefully halted. ^{ch. 1948}
