Heavenly Dao

Qi tides fuse heaven and earth qi and originate from the Heavenly Dao. That same order does not wipe out all life, so every situation still leaves a chance of survival. The way of heaven is to take away surpluses while replenishing deficits, keeping living beings in mutual limit, and the Heavenly Dao can alter even extreme environments by introducing opposing dao marks. ^{ch. 1972}

The Heavenly Dao is impartial and has no malicious intent against a cultivator when it changes the environment; that change is a natural step of development. Heaven’s will is produced from the Heavenly Dao and is more flexible. When the Heavenly Dao cannot eliminate an otherworldly demon that affects the world’s balance, heaven’s will can go further and destroy resource points inside an immortal aperture. The Heavenly Dao constantly derives new changes and can produce heaven’s will anywhere in a vast grotto-heaven. ^{ch. 1993}

Crazed Demon Cave was set up by Limitless Demon Venerable in his later years, and its eighth layer contains derivations of the Heavenly Dao. Grasping those secrets is framed as a way to improve a cultivator’s situation against that constant derivation. Human-path sacred land such as Emperor City is separately named as a way to restrain the Heavenly Dao if obtained. ^{ch. 1993}

Over about three million years, Heavenly Court moved from following heaven’s will, to resisting it, to altering heaven’s will and interfering with the Heavenly Dao. ^{ch. 2028}

Becoming a venerable requires breaking through the Heavenly Dao blockade so the immortal aperture origin core can produce rank nine yellow apricot immortal essence. Calamities and tribulations are part of that blockade: the Heavenly Dao does not want Gu Immortals to increase in number while also growing stronger, and before venerable the Heavenly Dao sends a tribulation far greater than any myriad tribulation.
