Ba De

At the super dream realm righteous path Gu formation he stands with Ba Quan Feng and checks Qiao clan’s growing traffic of outside guests. Narration places him as thousands of years old with rank seven peak battle strength, publicly the number one person under rank eight in Southern Border’s Gu Immortal world. ^{ch. 1214}

Appearance

He is nearly three meters tall, with an old fashioned appearance, beard and hair connected, dark green beard to his waist, and jade green hair to the back of his waist. He has a large mouth and broad nose, eyes covered completely by a black cloth, strong body with broad shoulders and chest, and uncovered skin like thousand year old tree bark with green moss growing on it. ^{ch. 1214}

Dream realm stance

He tells Ba Quan Feng not to rush Qiao clan while Wu clan backs it through long alliance marriages. He argues Wu clan’s immortal opportunity business will draw more clans in, that Ba clan should stay out to keep evidence and a larger future share when the dream realm is split, and that Wu clan’s first supreme elder is close to dying after early lifespan methods left problems lifespan Gu cannot fix. ^{ch. 1214}

Fang Yuan later notes that Southern Border’s top rank seven, Old Treeman Ba De, is stuck at the final grand tribulation and does not dare to undergo it. ^{ch. 1217} When Wu Yi Hai arrives at the dream realm formation, Ba De is named again as the publicly recognized strongest rank seven expert and says they should observe for now. ^{ch. 1223} He does not move against the dream realm business the other clans share with Wu clan, judging that touching it would draw those clans’ hostility and ally them with Wu clan against him. ^{ch. 1322} At a banquet welcoming Chi Shang, he singles out the absent Wu Yi Hai as more outstanding still than the elites he has introduced, a man who came from Eastern Sea, defeated Xia Fei Kuai and Mountain Moving Old Monster, and is Wu clan’s head at the super Gu formation. ^{ch. 1327} With Wu clan and Qiao clan in trouble and their reputations greatly fallen, Ba clan’s Ba De becomes the most suitable leader of the defense, and the event gives him a strong hold over Fang Yuan. ^{ch. 1352} He transmits to Fang Yuan demanding he stop holding back and kill Black Tigress with his remaining transformations. ^{ch. 1353}
