Mountain Moving Old Monster

Mount Snail is an immemorial desolate beast, an enormous river snail with a tall tower-like spiral shell drenched with green moss. When still, its body hides in the shell and looks like a towering mountain. Its temperament is simple and mild, hard to anger, and almost harmless, yet its body is full of enslavement path and earth path dao marks that spawn matching resources. Few Gu Immortals can control it, even rank eight enslavement path experts, because of those enslavement path dao marks. Southern Border has seven known Mount Snails; by old agreement a wild Mount Snail counts as a resource of the clan whose territory holds it. A Gu Immortal flies over, names himself Qin Jin Sheng, and says he is also called Mountain Moving Old Monster. He wears rocky grey armor, has messy black and white hair like straw, looks slovenly with shredded clothes corners, and gives off a majestic rank seven aura with sharp eyes. He has lived over two thousand years, holds lifespan Gu and lifespan extension methods, and is a famous lone immortal expert near Old Treeman Ba De and Wu Yu Bo. He tries to bribe Fang Yuan with an information path mortal Gu listing resources that could build coiling thread caves in exchange for taking Mount Snail. Fang Yuan doubles the list, keeps Mount Snail belonging to Wu clan in name, and requires a yearly resource portion to Wu clan while Mountain Moving Old Monster takes most real benefits. Days later Mount Snail moves away with Mountain Moving Old Monster standing on it with an owner’s air. As Wu clan representative, Fang Yuan has reached agreement: Mountain Moving Old Monster obtains most benefits, yet the immemorial desolate beast still belongs to Wu clan in name. ^{ch. 1316}

After Fang Yuan’s Wu Yi Hai identity is exposed, Wu Yong pressures him with force and persuasion until he becomes Wu clan’s external supreme elder. Wu Yong seats him on the left, calls him supreme elder Mountain Moving, and hands him charge of more than fifty Gu Masters’ immortal ascensions, many of them outsiders, both to avoid clan bias and to reassure the external elder. ^{ch. 2132}
