Calamity Luck Altar

At the heart of Longevity Heaven’s Four Desolations and Eight Extremities, Calamity Luck Altar shines in profound white light and resonates with the grotto-heaven. Narration names it a rank eight Immortal Gu House: three floors of round altars with pillars, white jade railings, and shining aurora. Eight Longevity Heaven Gu Immortals stand at the center of its nine corners to control it, while lightning, dragons, steaming luck, and clouds fill its center. ^{ch. 1180}

Heaven Extremity states that its true ability is to reverse calamity and luck, turning calamity into luck and luck into calamity, and links that power to the profundity of heaven and earth luck. He also says Giant Sun Immortal Venerable purposely left Calamity Luck Altar in Longevity Heaven to defend it, so heavenly tribulations and earthly calamities become nourishment and a human calamity can be turned into fortune for Longevity Heaven’s continued existence. Five Elements Grandmaster recalls that Giant Sun Immortal Venerable had three rank eight Immortal Gu Houses in his life and that he had long known of Calamity Luck Altar. ^{ch. 1180}

Later Northern Plains talk names Calamity Luck Altar, Eighty-Eight True Yang Building, and Luck Suppression Heavenly Palace as the three Immortal Gu Houses Giant Sun Immortal Venerable owned during his life, with Calamity Luck Altar kept in Longevity Heaven. ^{ch. 1242}
