Light Gu

Surrounded by evil dragons whose dragon souls strengthen the battlefield, You Tian Guang is in danger, and the wild rank nine light Gu in its body, sensing the danger to its host, bursts out with its power again. A piercing light shines across the battlefield as the Gu seems to try to escape with You Tian Guang by turning it into a ray of light, the move that earlier made Fang Yuan and Star Constellation Immortal Venerable fail to capture it several times. Star Constellation Immortal Venerable’s starlight specks surround You Tian Guang and suppress most of the Gu’s strength, so it fails to escape with You Tian Guang and leaves its host with huge injuries instead. Rank nine light Gu is a wild Gu that is not in sync with You Tian Guang, which has spent most of their long time together asleep. Now awake, You Tian Guang has only a rank eight cultivation level and cannot refine a wild rank nine Immortal Gu. ^{ch. 2279}

Fang Yuan, secretly refining heavenly secret Gu while he chases You Tian Guang, thinks the timing is wrong, since had this come after that refinement he could have used his full strength to capture the wild light Gu, and he does not feel much attraction to the Gu. Star Constellation Immortal Venerable uses an incomplete battlefield killer move of star fog to trap You Tian Guang and the wild rank nine light Gu. Fang Yuan’s immortal killer move seven kills rainbow, aimed at You Tian Guang, would destroy it alongside the rank nine light Gu in its body, but Star Constellation Immortal Venerable blocks it with a veil of stardust. Unable in his condition to obtain the Gu even if he tried, Fang Yuan has made up his mind to destroy the wild light Gu, to let Star Constellation Immortal Venerable have it if that fails, and to accept Giant Sun Immortal Venerable getting it only as the worst case, since Giant Sun’s own luck would grow explosively if he got it. When You Tian Guang escapes in the direction of Light Emperor, Light Emperor understands that his fortuitous encounter is rank nine light Gu, and he feels nothing but hatred toward it. ^{ch. 2279}

Light Emperor sees the wild rank nine light Gu come toward him, shining in white light, together with You Tian Guang. The Gu has an intense instinct for survival and stays with You Tian Guang because the legendary immemorial beast carries many light path dao marks that give it a familiar feeling, and because You Tian Guang is not strong enough to refine it. Light Emperor is a light path cultivator with only a rank eight aura, and when he opens the only crack in the star fog, the wild light Gu naturally comes to him as an avenue of survival. He brings You Tian Guang and the wild light Gu with him as he escapes toward Giant Sun Immortal Venerable. ^{ch. 2280}

When Fang Yuan closes on Light Emperor, the wild rank nine light Gu bursts out with power, and its blinding white light strikes Fang Yuan just before Giant Sun Immortal Venerable’s golden pillar sends him crashing toward the ground. Star Constellation Immortal Venerable and Giant Sun Immortal Venerable fight over rank nine light Gu, and Giant Sun wants to open his immortal aperture’s entrance to put Light Emperor, the fainted You Tian Guang and the Gu into it but cannot do so then. Fang Yuan shouts that Giant Sun must not get rank nine light Gu and that, in the worst case, it must be destroyed. ^{ch. 2280}

Giant Sun Immortal Venerable does not dare to let You Tian Guang into his immortal aperture, because the wild light Gu inside it grows restless on sensing his rank nine aura and might do something unfavorable to him. When he steps into the entrance of Longevity Heaven’s immortal aperture, rank nine light Gu senses something amiss and wants to escape, and although Giant Sun uses a prepared method to suppress it, Fang Yuan’s refinement path killer move, prepared for a long time, affects the Gu and the surface of light Gu cracks. Light Gu is only injured and survives, and Fang Yuan names the killer move crippled refinement. Giant Sun Immortal Venerable tells Light Emperor that they obtained a rank nine Immortal Gu in this fight, and Light Emperor worries about the injured Gu, since Heavenly Court spent a long time and countless resources to repair fate Gu. Star Constellation Immortal Venerable thinks that Giant Sun, who cultivates luck path and blood path, cannot use the injured light Gu easily, and that since rank nine light Gu is not derivation Gu and needs immortal essence to be used, it will cost him a lot of immortal essence. ^{ch. 2281} Healing in Longevity Heaven, Giant Sun Immortal Venerable feels an even greater sense of urgency despite gaining rank nine light Gu, and protecting Light Emperor and taking the Gu consumed a lot of his immortal essence. ^{ch. 2283}

Giant Sun Immortal Venerable says that he successfully obtained rank nine light Gu but his luck is still bad, and he wonders whether the Gu does not suit him. He has no method to heal the injured Gu, but Light Emperor, who is more specialized in light path, thinks of using his light body to refine and nurture it until it becomes his vital Gu. Light Emperor would have no way of refining a normal wild rank nine light Gu, but this one is injured and its will is heavily affected, and together with Giant Sun’s help he sees a chance of success. For a long period Light Emperor would lose all mobility and need assistance in eating and drinking, and Longevity Heaven cannot give the Gu to Fang Yuan to repair, since it is a rank nine Immortal Gu and Fang Yuan has no bottom-line. Giant Sun expects the other venerables to attack him because of rank nine light Gu, which would let their luck collectively suppress his. ^{ch. 2287} Giant Sun Immortal Venerable thinks that even if rank nine light Gu were repaired it would not suit him, and he recalls that the revival of Light Emperor caused him to gain it. ^{ch. 2296} Giant Sun Immortal Venerable thinks that the rank nine Gu he already has, light Gu, is damaged and cannot be used for the moment, and that this is enough to make Star Constellation Immortal Venerable and Heaven Refining Demon Venerable ally against him. ^{ch. 2307}

Imprisoned in Calamity Luck Altar inside Longevity Heaven, You Tian Guang roars at the Eight Extremities to return its light Gu. They answer that light Gu has always been a wild Gu that only resided in its body temporarily, and that Giant Sun Immortal Venerable won against two venerables and seized it, so it belongs to Longevity Heaven now. After You Tian Guang charges out of Calamity Luck Altar, it follows its sense to a secluded area, where it takes Light Emperor, who is nourishing rank nine light Gu with his body, and leaves. ^{ch. 2318} In the battle over the heaven path dream realms, Giant Sun Immortal Venerable loses his eldest son and rank nine light Gu, while Star Constellation Immortal Venerable’s star array calculation formation is almost destroyed. ^{ch. 2320} When Heavenly Court explodes, one of the things that makes Giant Sun Immortal Venerable hesitate to attack it is Light Emperor, kidnapped by You Tian Guang and Zuo Ye Hui, together with the wild rank nine light Gu. ^{ch. 2329}
