Call of the Ancient

Duke Long judges that Call of the Ancient is not truly bringing Gu Immortals from the past or future; like Future Self, it summons certain individuals from the River of Time at a particular state, so the Northern Plains Gu Immortals arrive at peak condition with their immortal essence and Immortal Gu. To stop it, enough damage must cripple Calamity Luck Altar and interrupt the user. Bing Sai Chuan notes the killer move is powerful but can be used only once; if Heavenly Court disrupts it, it will not be usable again. ^{ch. 1719}

Calamity Luck Altar’s main purpose becomes sustaining Call of the Ancient; if it uses other methods, the move is interrupted. The root issue is that Call of the Ancient is a time path killer move incompatible with Calamity Luck Altar’s methods. ^{ch. 1722}

Pressed by Duke Long, Bing Sai Chuan activates Call of the Ancient again; Calamity Luck Altar erupts with golden light, a phantom River of Time appears, and Northern Plains experts such as Nu Er Bao Xiong, Hei Fan, and Liu Liu Liu walk out. ^{ch. 1926}

Duke Long tells Heavenly Court that Call of the Ancient is Red Lotus Demon Venerable’s time path killer move and that it summons closely related Gu Immortals from the upstream of the River of Time to fight for the user.
