Chapter 1000

Xiao clan’s ancestor offers Old Man Yue Xia ten heavenly dragon pearls for help. The rank seven lone cultivator sends disciple Lu Zuan Feng to solve Xiao Shan’s crisis, blowing cold air into his belly as a protective Immortal Gu. ^{ch. 1000}

The second wave of the righteous and demonic battle erupts. Wu Dang Zhi now allies with a Shang clan Gu Immortal instead of fighting alone. Hong Fei Yu, the righteous path’s flying master, cannot hold against both alone and nears death. Shang clan’s reinforcements arrive led by the White Light Swordsman Wei Yang. He saves Hong Fei Yu, then stalls Lan Mei He and Fei You Wang until more reinforcements force their retreat. Southern Border’s three famous flying masters become four, with Wei Yang at their head. The battle deadlocks until Second Zombie King’s enslavement path forces the righteous path, lacking Wu Shen Tong, to fall back. As Huang Sha, Fang Yuan meets Wei Yang face to face, who once cared for him in Shang clan city. After this battle every Southern Border Gu Immortal’s refined battle will added together is still slightly less than Fang Yuan’s. ^{ch. 1000}

Rank eight fighting at Heavenly Lotus Sect turns an enormous area to desolate land: craters burning, iced or thundering, a river of blood through it. Famous mountains and rivers there hold profound natural dao marks. Without them the landscape would be ruined even more severely. Bo Qing leads Shadow Sect’s group retreating as three Immortal Gu Houses hover before them: Canary Pavilion, delicate and exquisite; Yue Yang Palace, shining with brilliant radiance; and, at the center, the rank eight Heavenly Pool. From outside, Heavenly Pool is only a small pool among the world’s smallest Immortal Gu Houses, filled with green lotuses each holding a blessed land or grotto-heaven. It is Heavenly Lotus Sect’s base, created by Genesis Lotus Immortal Venerable, and its greatest use is storing immortal apertures. ^{ch. 1000}

Song Zi Xing says that without taking down Heavenly Pool these losses cannot count as harming Heavenly Lotus Sect. Yu Mu Chun calls Heavenly Pool too difficult: healing and recovery were Genesis Lotus Immortal Venerable’s greatest specialty among the ten venerables, and the House inherits that style to an exaggerated degree, recovering any severe loss quickly unless broken apart in one attack. Seven Star Child adds that the other two Houses are very difficult as well. Bo Qing’s greatest weakness, Mo Yao’s remnant soul, is already known and very easy to target. In his previous life Bo Qing died, his soul destroyed by Heavenly Court’s Gu Immortals. This life he has also lost wisdom sword Gu, once his trump card against wisdom path methods, leaving him more cautious and extremely passive. ^{ch. 1000}

Seven Star Child says their goal of delaying the sect is achieved and leads the retreat. The three Houses give chase, Heaven Overseeing Tower Lord’s furious voice accusing them from within Heavenly Pool. Seven Star Child then calls for someone to hold the rear. Bo Qing offers, but Yu Mu Chun volunteers, since Azure, Blue and Song Zi Xing have higher battle strength. The other three leave him behind. Yu Mu Chun asks whether they think Shadow Sect made no arrangements, then falls as an enormous Gu formation flashes to the sky. ^{ch. 1000}

News of the battle reaches Fang Yuan. This life differs, he notes: immortal zombie Bo Qing is still alive and will hold animosity against the man who stole his Immortal Gu. The mysterious Immortal Gu Fang Yuan took from Bo Qing’s body was in fact Mo Yao’s, so her fake will lets him refine it quickly.
