Soul Beast Token

Old Ghost Bai Jun keeps the rank eight Immortal Gu Soul Beast Token as a huge trump card. The narration says there is a huge price to pay to activate it. He does not want to use it lightly. Even activated, he lacks confidence to win against Fang Yuan. He also fears that showing a rank eight Immortal Gu would make Fang Yuan attack to seize it. ^{ch. 1506}

Fleeing after his defeat, Old Ghost Bai Jun thinks that if he ignores the cost and activates the token, no soul beast is beyond his enslavement. Eagle Concubine tells him their master would not have handed him a rank eight Immortal Gu without some means to monitor him. That master is a soul beast inside Divine Bean Palace. He begs it for mercy and insists the Gu is still with him, not lost. ^{ch. 1508}

Fang Yuan learns the name of the rank eight Immortal Gu from Fang An Lei. He calls it a rank eight enslavement path Immortal Gu. He feels a strong urge to design a theft path killer move to steal it. ^{ch. 1513}

Old Ghost Bai Jun thinks that activating Soul Beast Token expends his soul foundation rapidly. He judges that he cannot sustain it and must settle the battle fast. He says he is still unfamiliar with the Gu. Fang Yun and Fang Leng ask how he gained control of four immemorial soul beasts in so short a time. Fang Yuan says that controlling four immemorial soul beasts at rank seven is far beyond Old Ghost Bai Jun’s abilities. ^{ch. 1514}

Chen Yi understands that Qing Chou nurtures many wild Immortal Gu on its body, among them rank eight Immortal Gu Soul Beast Token. Qing Chou, he sees, refined it and gave it to Old Ghost Bai Jun. He reads Qing Chou’s aim as using the soul beast army to help suppress Divine Bean Palace. ^{ch. 1516}

Fang Yuan sets his killer move hundred and eighty slaves against the Gu. The flying spider immemorial soul beast is under the effect of Soul Beast Token. The narration says hundred and eighty slaves is rank seven and cannot match the rank eight Gu on its own. The move also draws power from the number of soul beasts, and Fang Yuan has many. That lifts it to rank eight, and the two stand in a stalemate. Old Ghost Bai Jun reaches his limits and coughs blood. The power of Soul Beast Token disappears from the spider, and Fang Yuan subdues it. ^{ch. 1518}

Qing Chou resists enslavement and unleashes its final move. Rank eight Soul Beast Token is the core of that move. The narration says the move’s name is unknown. Its light spreads over all of green ghost desert, and soul path dao marks light up across it. Every soul beast in the desert then feels a summons and goes to reinforce Qing Chou. The narration says its effect is not immediate. ^{ch. 1526}

Outside peach blossom maze, countless soul beasts gather in a sea. The narration says they were all summoned by Soul Beast Token. ^{ch. 1527}

Fang Yuan uses the killer move great thief ghost hand while standing on Qing Chou’s back. A black ghost hand enters Qing Chou’s body. He pulls it out clenched, as if holding something, and opens his immortal aperture for it. Qing Chou’s body cracks and it roars. Qing Chou then shouts, asking whether Fang Gong or Chen Yi stole its Soul Beast Token. Fang Di Chang and Chen Yi are shocked that anyone could steal a rank eight Immortal Gu from its immortal aperture. Qing Chou cannot perceive Fang Yuan, and accuses Chen Yi. ^{ch. 1528}

Inside Fang Yuan’s immortal aperture, the Gu struggles inside the ghost hand. Fang Yuan suppresses it with the Gu formation in Heaven Sealing Mountain. The narration says Qing Chou had already refined it, and its will remained inside. Fang Yuan first activates self love on the Gu, so that Qing Chou’s will would not risk self-detonating it. He sends in affection will next, and Qing Chou’s will destroys most of it. The lingering affection will stays scattered in the Gu. ^{ch. 1529}

He then sends in his self will in small waves, and it is wiped out each time. His advantage grows with time until he holds half the control. Lingering affection will and fake will interfere when Qing Chou’s will tries to detonate the Gu. His self will then erases the rest of Qing Chou’s will. Three days and nights pass outside before he finishes. ^{ch. 1529}

Fang Yuan counts Soul Beast Token among the gains of the Divine Bean Palace battle. The narration says such a rank eight Immortal Gu could not be obtained normally, even with huge assets. Fang clan is shocked that Fang Yuan, as Suan Bu Jin, could steal it. Qing Chou escapes, and the narration says it has more rank eight Immortal Gu than just this one. ^{ch. 1530}

Fang Yuan adds rank eight Soul Beast Token to his deduction of the killer move yama. The narration says this resolves the biggest difficulty of the mid and late stage. The move is renamed emperor yama. It has four main components: ghostly concealment, ghost official garment, Soul Beast Token and myriad self. ^{ch. 1562}

Fang Yuan counts four rank eight Immortal Gu: Attitude, Wisdom Sword, Years Flow Like Water and Soul Beast Token. He thinks Soul Beast Token is needed in emperor yama and cannot be taken out. Most rank eight Immortal Gu use rank eight immortal essence. The narration names Soul Beast Token as an exception, because it expends the soul foundation of the user. Fang Yuan’s unique refinement method uses rank eight Soul Beast Token as its core Immortal Gu. Dark ghost hands grab a half-finished Spring Autumn Cicada and pull impurities out of it. Fang Yuan tells Ying Wu Xie that he has already handed Soul Beast Token to him. He tells Ying Wu Xie to develop the army in green ghost desert. Ying Wu Xie replies that there will be an unceasing supply of soul beasts. ^{ch. 1778}

The narration likens rank eight dream token Immortal Gu to the Soul Beast Token that Fang Yuan has. The narration calls Soul Beast Token a soul path Gu worm with enslavement path ability. Dream token is a dream path Gu worm with a similar ability. No chapter shows Ying Wu Xie returning the Gu to Fang Yuan. ^{ch. 1848}

The narration says Fang Yuan forcibly stole rank eight Soul Beast Token from Qing Chou’s body with great thief ghost hand. Without it, Qing Chou’s strength fell sharply. The narration says this led to Fang clan’s victory. ^{ch. 2083}
