Fang Clan's Rank Eight
Fang clan’s rank seven Gu Immortals attack Chen Yi twice, the second round led by Fang Hua Sheng, and his thick tree bark light blocks every blow. Fang Di Chang recognizes him as Heavenly Lotus Sect’s first supreme elder. The title demoralizes all of Fang clan’s Gu Immortals. Chen Yi says Divine Bean Palace originates from Ancestor Genesis Lotus, so wanting it disregards Central Continent. Fang Di Chang replies that Genesis Lotus Immortal Venerable left it in Western Desert, so it belongs there, and calls Chen Yi merely a descendant who distorts his ancestor’s decision. Chen Yi warns that thickening wood armor only grows tougher unless destroyed in one hit. ch. 1527
A rank seven Gu Immortal steps forward and turns into a muscular old man, whose strength path punch smashes the armor in one blow. Chen Yi crashes into the palace wall with his seven orifices bleeding and his bones definitely broken, but jade light heals him. He names the attacker as Fang Gong, Fang clan’s first supreme elder and a rank eight expert, and denounces the sneak attack. Fang Yuan reads the earlier rounds as Fang Di Chang’s cover for the punch. He notes that Fang Gong is a rare strength path cultivator among rank eight Gu Immortals. ch. 1527
The extremely effective sneak attack breaks the stalemate and gives Fang Gong the upper hand, and Chen Yi loses half of his accumulated control over Divine Bean Palace. Because he used graft wood on himself, as he had on Old Ghost Bai Jun and Eagle Concubine, the palace takes his injuries instead. Cracks spread across its walls, roof and pillars, and several large pillars shatter into piles of Gu worm corpses. The suppression on Qing Chou eases, and it shatters the spears of light stabbing its body and is about to rise again. Fang Gong leaps at Qing Chou and sends it flying in a physical brawl. Unwilling to let Fang Gong take control, Chen Yi joins Qing Chou against him, and the two barely cooperate, erasing Fang Gong’s edge. ch. 1527
Chen Yi can unleash only sixty percent of his methods, while Fang Gong’s strength path gives him a huge advantage here. All three rank eight existences hold back wide ranged methods, since each of them wants Divine Bean Palace. Fang clan’s rank seven Gu Immortals leave the palace, because staying is courting death. They fight in peach blossom maze, against Old Ghost Bai Jun, Eagle Concubine and the soul beasts entering. Fang Di Chang warns that green ghost desert’s dao marks have corroded the battlefield, which cannot last much longer, and as only a rank seven he cannot solve it. ch. 1527
Peach blossom maze weakens until loopholes show a sea of countless soul beasts summoned by Soul Beast Token, entering without end. Old Ghost Bai Jun and Eagle Concubine feel the pressure fall but only protect themselves. Fang Yuan stands and judges that everything now turns on the three rank eight existences still fighting in Divine Bean Palace. Though restrained, their attacks leave the rank eight Immortal Gu House about to break apart, and if this continues the battle for ownership will destroy it. Fang Yuan tells Fang Di Chang that he can help Fang clan obtain it. ch. 1527
