Years Flow Like Water

Hei Fan created Years Flow Like Water. His inspiration came from constantly parallel refining year Gu, and among his Immortal Gu recipes he placed the greatest emphasis on this one. To gather materials he spent the Hei tribe treasury and paid refinement path experts, then failed nine times before succeeding. ^{ch. 1131} When he refined it he failed consecutively and even lost confidence after many failures. ^{ch. 1169}

After Hei Fan refined Years Flow Like Water, selling mortal level year Gu became his most lucrative business, and within months he was the world’s biggest year Gu vendor. Because of the Gu, immemorial level year beasts once entered his immortal aperture with rank eight battle strength, and the fights inside cost him heavily. He then researched seals that conceal its aura when it is not in use, and he warns any inheritor to use it carefully in battle lest an immemorial year beast be lured into the aperture. ^{ch. 1132}

Even with his battle strength newly surged, Fang Yuan still cannot unseal Years Flow Like Water. ^{ch. 1302}

A later year beast summoning version uses Years Flow Like Water as the core instead of year Gu, and even a rank six Gu Immortal can use that rank eight Immortal Gu. ^{ch. 1401}

Heavenly Court credits Hei Fan’s true inheritance for Fang Yuan controlling the upper extreme heavenly eagle, a rank eight existence, at rank seven cultivation, while the truth is hundred and eighty slaves together with this Gu’s own flaw. Hei Fan never exposed that weakness, so Heavenly Court cannot deduce that Fang Yuan has a way to lure immemorial year beasts to him. ^{ch. 1432}

In Myriad Year Flying Warship, years flow like water Immortal Gu is the core that elevates the Immortal Gu House to rank eight. Its main use had been to produce year Gu that feed Fang Yuan’s year beasts. With a year essence pool in place, the beasts support themselves inside, and he can put the Gu to other work as that House core. ^{ch. 1795}
