Chapter 1132

Fang Yuan reads Hei Fan’s mortal Gu recipes for day Gu, month Gu and year Gu, which would let him buy materials and refine these himself rather than only buy the finished product. He considers asking Lang Ya Sect’s hairy men to refine them instead, then sets the idea aside, since asking would first mean mending a cooled relationship. Among the incomplete recipes he finds Before Immortal Gu, fifty-seven percent complete. Hei Fan already held After Immortal Gu and greatly desired Before, but died without completing it. The inheritance also carries maps of the five regions and of white heaven and black heaven, valuable as references, and secrets of the Gu Immortal world, fullest on Imperial Court blessed land and Eighty-Eight True Yang Building, both useless now. After he refined the rank eight Immortal Gu Years Flow Like Water, he sold mortal year Gu and became the world’s biggest year Gu vendor within months, earning huge profits. The same Gu drew immemorial level year beasts with rank eight battle strength into his aperture, and fighting them there cost him immense losses. He then invented methods to seal Years Flow Like Water and hide its aura. He warns his inheritor to use it very carefully in battle, since luring an immemorial year beast over while fighting a strong foe means deep trouble. He judges Hei Fan’s true inheritance truly the work of a time path great expert, its difficulty explaining why Hei tribe’s own descendants failed for generations while Fang Yuan succeeded. He credits attitude Gu, familiar face and Chu Du’s help obtaining the heavenly crystal eagle nest. He compares it to Nian Er tribe’s Nian Er Sword Saint true inheritance, whose heir appears only once every few hundred years, the current one Nian Er Ping Zhi. Both Hei Fan and Nian Er Sword Saint set requirements hard enough that no unworthy successor could tarnish their names. He killed every one of those Gu Immortals that day. He keeps every inheritance left there, mostly mortal ones, including three Gu Immortal inheritances, two holding Immortal Gu recipes and the third holding one Immortal Gu, a bone path offensive Gu worm called Bone Spike. He soul searches the dead Gu Immortals’ locked souls, learning the grotto-heaven’s forbidden grounds and the areas where its ancient desolate beasts and plants live, along with these immortals’ own inheritances and cultivation experiences. The search turns up Zheng Tuo, Zhou Min and Feng Jun’s scheme, a killer move called blood light spirit suppression, and Fang Yuan is glad he struck before it could succeed. He suspects heaven’s will pushed Feng Jun to invent it. That same azure heaven fragment lets heaven’s will look inside the grotto-heaven. ^{ch. 1132}

Fang Yuan resolves to move every resource in the grotto-heaven into his own aperture, since it is not safe to leave them there. He means to give Chu Du the emptied grotto-heaven afterward. Its own value already runs to thirty percent of the true inheritance’s worth. He gave Chu Du the method of self will Gu beforehand, against heaven’s will’s influence. Over the following days he studies how the grotto-heaven’s habitats and resources support or restrain each other, knowledge he badly needs.
