Form of use and food
Mortal year Gu sit below ten years, including one year Gu, two year Gu, and five year Gu. Year Gu at rank six are at least ten years and unique in the world. A ten year immortal level year Gu can be raised with immortal materials into higher year counts up to ninety-nine year Gu. Hundred year Gu is rank seven, and raising ten year Gu to hundred year Gu is ordinary rank-up refinement rather than parallel refinement. Thousand year Gu is rank eight; ten thousand year Gu would be rank nine in theory, but history has never had one, while rank eight thousand year Gu has existed. ch. 1129
A fifty year Gu can become a twenty year Gu after one use. If a thousand year Gu falls to nine hundred year Gu, it drops from rank eight to rank seven. Strictly speaking it is a consumable Immortal Gu, but not a one-time consumable: it can be expended and then replenished again. Reading Hei Fan’s inheritance, Fang Yuan finds immortal killer moves built on immortal level year Gu as their core, among them bountiful year, which raises how fast every resource in the immortal aperture is produced for a year after activation. A matched set of four moves uses the same core to slow or speed the aperture’s internal time. Assessing his own year Gu against bountiful year’s cost, Fang Yuan judges it only a little over the hundred year level and decides he must parallel refine it further before he can use the move. ch. 1130
Hei Fan’s true inheritance includes five parallel refinement Immortal Gu recipes that elevate immortal level year Gu. The method he used most adds large numbers of mortal year Gu into the immortal level year Gu. ch. 1131
