Year Beast Summoning is Hei Fan's time path immortal killer move. With year Gu as the core it calls a year beast out of the River of Time.
During the eagle hound battle for Lang Ya, Fang Yuan stops attacking long enough to fire the immortal killer move: rank seven year Gu first, then supplementary mortal Gu, until a River of Time phantom opens and an ancient year beast jumps out. ch. 1137 Hei Fan true inheritance records twelve year beast forms; that cast brings a chicken year beast, and Hei Fan invented the move long before refining Years Flow Like Water. Dual core versions
Hei Fan’s true inheritance details two cores: ordinary year Gu, and rank eight Years Flow Like Water. With Years Flow Like Water unsealed, the same named move summons an army instead of one beast and works as a time path method with enslavement path effect for attrition. ch. 1401 Its flaw remains that the beasts are not loyal slaves; under pressure they try to retreat into the River of Time, and Spectral Soul Demon Venerable’s methods outclass Hei Fan’s design even though the move’s strength is still real. ch. 1402 Among Hei Fan methods that use Years Flow Like Water as core, the rank eight version can summon immemorial year beasts. ch. 1602
