Fang Yuan reviews the reward list Wu Fa hands him, mostly mortal Gu materials with a few immortal ones mixed in. He recognizes that, had he surrendered the frost jades and their essence, the reward would not have stopped at this list. Wu Yong and Wu Fa are in fact not scheming against him but offering him a peaceful resolution, though Fang Yuan appears not to realize this and stays silent before answering. Fang Yuan instead asks to exchange the whole reward for dragon scale soil, a mortal Gu material. Wu Yong is slightly stumped and looks to Wu Fa, who agrees. ch. 1313
Back home, Fang Yuan values dragon scale soil because it draws his dragonfish to breed more readily. His sovereign aperture’s slowed time rate has caused a huge decrease in resource production, straining both his immortal essence and his immortal essence stones. He sets dragonfish, already traded in huge numbers through treasure yellow heaven, as the first resource to expand. He lays the soil into Mini Eastern Sea and raises a mortal Gu formation around it, building an artificial dragon scale sea area. He then moves his dragonfish group there, where they breed more. ch. 1313
Fang Yuan then prepares the immortal killer move bountiful year from Hei Fan’s true inheritance, which has no offensive use but whose practicality is extremely high, praised even by Hei Fan himself. Hei Fan did not create it himself but traded for it from a Gu Immortal great expert named Pill Immortal. He modifies it, adding a rank seven Immortal Gu, perseverance, as a supplementary worm. His time path attainment is barely enough for the addition, and activation takes about half a month rather than Hei Fan’s original two to three days, but it succeeds without backlash. The addition doubles the killer move’s duration, from one year to two, saving Fang Yuan a portion of red date immortal essence. ch. 1313
The dragon scale sea area stands completely formed, an enormous leap from the dragon scale lake he kept before. Bountiful year’s effect reaches beyond the sea area to a vast range of surroundings. Hei Fan’s inheritance describes the activated killer move raising production across the whole immortal aperture, but Fang Yuan’s version, narrowed both by perseverance and by how vast the sovereign aperture is, only covers a portion of Mini Eastern Sea. ch. 1313
The project leaves his immortal essence stones and reserves nearly dry, so Fang Yuan sells off surplus resources, including the frost jades, frost jade essences and ice path mortal Gu plundered from Frosty Peak. He uses a portion of the gains to buy large numbers of dragonfish for the new sea area, choosing to be slightly aggressive since his position is currently safe. Over the following weeks he sells three batches of dragonfish. The second goes directly to Wu clan, surprising even Wu Yong with his skill, in a market that also includes Qiao clan and other forces close to Wu clan. His low prices under the Wu Yi Hai identity let the third batch enter Southern Border’s market smoothly, and afterward his finances recover. ch. 1313
