Perseverance Gu

It is like a monolith, huge at the size of a giant whale, wide at the bottom and thin at the top, squarish and metallic black, with very straight sides. Fang Yuan notes it is the largest Immortal Gu he has seen by size. ^{ch. 1286}

Flood Extremity first treats perseverance Gu as only a Gu from that book, but Black Extremity states that Perseverance Immortal Gu has existed, and that Genesis Lotus Immortal Venerable refined it, entered the Door of Life and Death, brought Reverse Flow River into the world, and was the river’s first owner. ^{ch. 1277}

As Fang Yuan keeps walking upstream under pressure, a Gu worm aura grows in his body until he shines in pure white light, and Mao Li Qiu identifies Perseverance Immortal Gu forming inside him. Bi Chen Tian confirms that the Gu exists. Wei Ling Yang adds that Genesis Lotus Immortal Venerable once owned it. Mao Li Qiu states Genesis Lotus was trapped in the river, reached its end, refined Perseverance Immortal Gu in his body, conquered the river, and became the first Reverse Flow River Lord. At that rate Fang Yuan will refine it and become the second Reverse Flow River Lord. The refinement succeeds: Perseverance Immortal Gu forms completely in his immortal aperture, and Reverse Flow River no longer works against him. ^{ch. 1285 ch. 1286}

With Perseverance Immortal Gu, Fang Yuan finds Reverse Flow River obedient around him: standing still no longer causes the river to sweep him away, he can use Gu worms freely in the river, and he can open his immortal aperture entrance there. Its aura shows rank seven. ^{ch. 1286}

Continuing to activate the Gu keeps him as Reverse Flow River Lord and lets him use other Immortal Gu inside the river. Perseverance Immortal Gu gets the river’s compliance, and together with Pulling Water that basis supports an immortal killer move built around the river. ^{ch. 1287 ch. 1288} The perseverance Gu he obtains feeds on Reverse Flow River water, which he can supply easily. ^{ch. 1291} Without refining perseverance Gu and creating reverse flow protection seal, he would likely have lost the Reverse Flow River battle. ^{ch. 1292}

Beyond conquering Reverse Flow River, Perseverance Immortal Gu can let other Immortal Gu or immortal killer moves last for a longer time. ^{ch. 1295} With perseverance Immortal Gu, Fang Yuan as an ancient sword dragon can keep sword light dragon breath going continuously until his throat reaches its limit, and the Gu suits the modification of self cleansing. ^{ch. 1410}

Fang Yuan’s killer move Vajra Shell combines rank six Vajra Thought Immortal Gu as its core with rank seven Perseverance Immortal Gu, along with large numbers of mortal Gu. ^{ch. 1310}

Preparing bountiful year to raise dragon scale sea area’s production, Fang Yuan adds rank seven Perseverance Immortal Gu into the killer move as its first supplementary Gu worm, alongside year Gu as the core. The addition doubles bountiful year’s duration, letting a single activation affect the immortal aperture for two years instead of one, but it also shrinks the killer move’s effective range and stretches its activation time toward half a month. ^{ch. 1313}

Besides myriad self Immortal Gu, Fang Yuan names another human path Immortal Gu he holds: perseverance Gu. ^{ch. 1774}
