Feng Jiang’s suspicion dissolves once Hua Die explains. This Chu Ying is Fang Yuan in disguise. He had followed nearby traces of fighting out of curiosity. He found her and Feng Jiang fleeing a rank seven immortal zombie, a weakling measured against Fang Yuan’s current strength. Fang Yuan had helped Hua Die once before. ch. 1295
He wants access to Miao Ming Shen, the space path expert behind her who knows how to enter the blue dragon whale. Paradise Earth Immortal Venerable nurtured the beast and awakened its immortal aperture so it holds a huge treasury, then set an immortal killer move on its body that leaves it almost no predators or dangers. Rumor from his previous life says it holds a true inheritance even Miao Ming Shen has never found, despite exploring it many times. Seeing her pursued was a rare chance to show Miao Ming Shen goodwill a second time. He intervenes and drives off the lightning path immortal zombie Ge Wen. ch. 1295
He does not use the ancient sword dragon transformation. Liu Guan Yi’s use of it to kill Ye Lui Qun Xing in Northern Plains has made the form a giveaway of his own reputation as the Reverse Flow River Lord. Change Form Immortal Gu lets him become the blue scaled sea dragon instead. Pairing Dragon Breath Immortal Gu with rank seven Perseverance Immortal Gu lets its breath run past the normal breath by breath limit. Even so he cannot hold it open indefinitely, since dragon breath strains the throat heavily. Beyond conquering Reverse Flow River, Perseverance Immortal Gu can make other Immortal Gu and immortal killer moves last longer. After a short exchange Ge Wen judges him a strong opponent and retreats. ch. 1295
Feng Jiang names himself a subordinate of Miao Ming Shen and offers thanks, which Fang Yuan waves off humbly as only a helping hand. Both immortals feel closer to him for it. Hua Die grieves that most of the year cycle powder is now lost to Ge Wen. Fang Yuan comforts her that their lives, at least, are safe. Feng Jiang calls the remark deeply insightful. ch. 1295
Her worry runs deeper still. Miao Ming Shen has already promised the powder to a friend for an approaching trading convention. Without it they fear returning empty handed and damaging his reputation. ch. 1295
Trading convention catches Fang Yuan’s attention. He had already meant to trade away Immortal Gu that no longer suit him. Eastern Sea holds the most resources of the five regions and its immortals are usually wealthier, which makes its trading conventions famous across the five regions and his only real chance to join one. He asks outright to join. Hua Die and Feng Jiang say it is too high class for them to sponsor, but offer to bring their benefactor before their lord. Fang Yuan, very rushed, agrees at once, since Dark Limit’s cover keeps weakening under other Gu Immortals’ deductions. ch. 1295
Hua Die and Feng Jiang want to ask him to help recover the powder but cannot bring themselves to. Fang Yuan, aware of it, keeps steering the conversation elsewhere. Using the ancient sword dragon transformation or Reverse Flow Protection Seal openly risks exposing his identities, Wu Yi Hai included. ch. 1295
On the way to Miao Ming Shen, Fang Yuan gives half truths about his background. He draws on real memories of Eastern Sea from his previous life, so nothing he says is a lie. Hua Die and Feng Jiang bring him before Miao Ming Shen. By then the two think very well of this easygoing Chu Ying. They do not know he recently took Reverse Flow River itself from Old Ancestor Xue Hu. ch. 1295
