Fang Yuan notes that this Myriad Self Second Style involves too many Gu worms of different types, so a concise version would need years of deduction or higher attainment. Narration then states that for the last few thousand years Feng Jiu Ge alone could battle rank eight existences, and that Fang Yuan now shares that standing with him. ^{ch. 1289}

Fang Yuan later judges that if he had not refined perseverance Gu and created reverse flow protection seal, he would likely have lost the Reverse Flow River battle and fallen into Ying Wu Xie’s trap.
