Chapter 1294

Past the last regional wall into Eastern Sea, Ying Wu Xie, Hei Lou Lan and Bai Ning Bing are mentally spent. Without the sovereign immortal body, each crossing since leaving Northern Plains has been a huge test. The four then use the ancient battle formation Omni-directional Travel to reach the turbulent flow sea area, with Purple Mountain True Monarch leading through every current. There the tributary of the River of Time is already gone. Purple Mountain True Monarch judges someone has taken it. He doubts it was Fang Yuan’s method and names no other suspect. She begs Feng Jiang to leave her and save himself, but he refuses outright. Their pursuer is Ge Wen, a rank seven immortal zombie, once a lightning path grandmaster before a backlash forced the change. He still has outstanding battle strength and two Immortal Gu, enough to force the rank six Hua Die and Feng Jiang into flight. He demands the year cycle powder, calling it his immortal material and accusing the two of snatching it. Hua Die answers that Miao Ming Shen found the powder three years ago and set a Gu formation there, which she has tended every few months since. A stranger’s voice interrupts. A blue scaled sea dragon rises from the sea to confront Ge Wen, and its breath overwhelms his bolt of lightning until he flees, snarling that they are lucky this time. Hua Die notes he will return for the year cycle powder still left there. ^{ch. 1294}

Feng Jiang thanks their rescuer and asks his name. The dragon becomes an ordinary looking Gu Immortal and introduces himself as Chu Ying, greeting Hua Die by name.
