Lady Wan Shou

She is beautiful and elegant, with dazzling eyes. ^{ch. 812} She looks like she is in her late twenties, with a beautiful appearance and elegant disposition, and she looks much younger than Old Ancestor Xue Hu even though she is older than him. ^{ch. 928}

She has rank seven cultivation and is one of the four most famous refinement path Gu Immortals in Northern Plains. ^{ch. 812} She is Xue Hu’s wife. ^{ch. 772} She obtained Gu Immortal Wang Jiu’s inheritance, including lifespan Gu and many lifespan extension methods, and later became known as a refinement path quasi-great grandmaster among the four highest refinement experts of Northern Plains. Whenever Xue Hu wants to refine Gu, he asks her to do it. ^{ch. 928}

Old Ancestor Xue Hu asks Sun Ming Lu, the number one formation path Gu Immortal in Northern Plains, for help numerous times, and convinces him at the seventh invitation, the one in which Xue Hu talks about Lady Wan Shou. Sun Ming Lu treasures love and loyalty, and it is a husband setting up the refinement path Gu formation for his beloved wife that touches him into helping. ^{ch. 937}

Old Ancestor Xue Hu recalls that she had promised to marry him once his cultivation reached rank eight. She says she regrets it a little, and would rather his cultivation be slightly lower. When he says it is time, she agrees, and the two of them begin refining fortune rivalling heaven Immortal Gu. ^{ch. 1144}

A third lightning refinement attempt on Ma Hong Yun fails, and an intense dizziness nearly makes Lady Wan Shou collapse. She forces herself to keep going, disregarding her own injuries to heal Ma Hong Yun instead, because he has to be alive for the lightning refinement to work. While healing him she finds that his cultivation level has risen by one rank. Old Ancestor Xue Hu arrives and asks if she is alright; still pale, she tells him she only needs to rest to recover. ^{ch. 1177}

Long ago, shortly after her ascension, Lady Wan Shou meets a mysterious Gu Immortal in a cave who says he is not qualified to take a true inheritance there and offers it to her instead. He sets two conditions: after she inherits it she must tell him its contents, and she owes him a favor, to be paid by helping whoever uses his information path Gu worm should a situation arise later. She agrees after only a moment, having no real choice, since at her cultivation level she probably could not leave that place alive otherwise. She keeps the Gu worm in her immortal aperture unused until it carries a message to her while Central Continent’s rank eights are attacking Snowy Mountain blessed land. ^{ch. 1268} Long after, this mysterious Gu Immortal is revealed as Purple Mountain True Monarch, recalling the meeting himself. ^{ch. 1372}

Purple Mountain True Monarch tells Old Ancestor Xue Hu that Lady Wan Shou was right beside Ma Hong Yun when the river swept them all away, so she should still be near him. ^{ch. 1275}

Seeing her husband under attack, Lady Wan Shou swims in to help him; heavily injured and spent from enduring the fight, she faints, and Old Ancestor Xue Hu carefully places her unconscious body in his immortal aperture. ^{ch. 1279}

Lady Wan Shou had been keeping Ma Hong Yun alive rather than killing him outright, because the living refinement of the luck path Immortal Gu required a living Ma Hong Yun. ^{ch. 1284}
