Snowy Mountain blessed land’s Gu formation was never Old Ancestor Xue Hu’s own work, beyond a rank eight great expert’s power. After seven invitations Sun Ming Lu agreed, his firm will yielding to love and loyalty when Xue Hu spoke of his own beloved wife Lady Wan Shou. It caused a huge commotion in Northern Plains. The recovered thoughts, spanning centuries, belong to an immortal zombie called Green. After eighty years the formation was complete, concealing its makers from heaven’s will as well as refining Gu, and Green had asked Yellow to add a small formation storing his thoughts to help him think. In just two hundred years Green refined eight soul path Immortal Gu, once yielding an unknown-effect Immortal Gu while trying to complete devour soul Immortal Gu’s recipe. A later attempt failed, wrecking three defensive formations and damaging the main one, after a merchant deceived Green with a tampered material. ^{ch. 937}

Azure punished that merchant, and Yellow repaired the damage. Purple warned that Azure was in trouble, the merchant a Heavenly Court pawn, and fate itself still alive, never thoroughly destroyed by Red Lotus Demon Venerable. Azure took that unknown-effect Immortal Gu, then failed one step from complete annihilation, his life barely preserved by Yellow, their greatest battle strength lost. ^{ch. 937}

This taught Green something crucial. All seven of them were flawed in ways heaven and earth would not tolerate, so their old methods would not work. Green judged nobody better suited than himself to grasp life and death’s meaning, and resolved that a true revival was their one path to restart. From the codenames, Fang Yuan guesses seven members named for a rainbow, and calls them the Seven Rainbows for now. ^{ch. 937}

Later, badly gapped thoughts add more. Blue gained an inheritance Old Immortal Kong Jue left in Central Continent, rich in research on the ten extreme physiques, an immense gain. Yellow and Purple gained an inheritance of Limitless Demon Venerable, unprecedented in rule path and perhaps never surpassed. ^{ch. 937}

Life exists within death and death within life, interchangeable, Green concludes from Limitless Demon Venerable’s insight. Life to death flows naturally. The reverse is extremely difficult, and immortal zombies embody exactly this in-between state. Convinced, Green pursues this path, and later declares an unimaginable success: Limitless Demon Venerable had been only steps from it, and a dead aperture proves extremely precious. ^{ch. 937}

Fang Yuan grows more stunned reading on. A Gu Immortal should first become an immortal zombie, gaining a dead aperture, then revive into a life-and-death aperture whose two layers coexist and interchange. Living Gu Immortals hold too much vitality and draw tribulations as heaven’s balance, while zombies carry only death energy, face none, but slowly disintegrate and cannot hold resources. Fang Yuan’s aperture has already disintegrated past half, and will vanish in time, leaving him only his mortal dead aperture. ^{ch. 937}
