Chapter 990

Fang Yuan lets the zombie flee, avoiding a further show of Fixed Immortal Travel. He rejoins Tai Bai Yun Sheng and reports the plan failed. Tai Bai Yun Sheng is relieved, since fighting a rank seven Gu Immortal would have been dangerous, and urges him to ease off instead. ^{ch. 990}

Once Heavenly Court puts out false word that he took immense wealth and Giant Sun Immortal Venerable’s luck path true inheritance from Eighty-Eight True Yang Building, it and the ten ancient sects will hunt him harder. Tai Bai Yun Sheng praises the huge trap formation, spanning tens of thousands of li from only mortal Gu. Fang Yuan hides its true source: Fairy Yu Lu’s cultivation knowledge and the light of wisdom. He waves off any comparison to Eighty-Eight True Yang Building, which covers all of Northern Plains, and admits the formation is actually weak. Fang Yuan had set the featherman Zhou Zhong to tail Hei Cheng in secret. Hei Cheng, though high level, is wounded, carries only dark arrow Immortal Gu, and is worn from the hundred days battle, so the chase goes easily. Fang Yuan sets the same trap again, this time disguised as Old Lord Can Yang, and Hei Cheng flees straight into it. Hei Cheng carries great value, worth a huge sum to Hei Lou Lan, but Fang Yuan wants to soul search him personally first. Back in Hu Immortal blessed land, he rests, watching Northern Plains. He wants Luo Po Valley next, since with Dang Hun Mountain it would grow his soul foundation and clear the backlash of using slavery Immortal Gu. As before, Zombie Alliance recalls her to defend Dark Flow Giant City, and as its branch leader she cannot refuse. Fang Yuan gives her a plan. He claims he deduced it himself, aimed at Old Ancestor Xue Hu’s lack of materials to refine fortune rivalling heaven Immortal Gu. She praises it and asks what he wants in return, not knowing it is the plan she worked out herself in his previous life after returning to Dark Flow City. He asks for strength path immortal zombie bodies as a way out should he fail to get both the Immortal Gu House and the rank eight Great Strength True Martial immortal zombie, and she hesitantly agrees. Once Central Continent Gu Immortals begin leaving Northern Plains, Fang Yuan moves with Tai Bai Yun Sheng and Zhou Zhong. Using Fixed Immortal Travel, he slips deep into Luo Po Valley, past Hui Feng Zi, who now guards it for Central Continent unaware he is already inside. ^{ch. 990}

A voice reaches his ears, the same song Star Constellation Immortal Venerable once sang inside the dream realm. This time he hears it clearly. A wave of information floods into his mind.
