Chapter 1953

Heaven Overseeing Tower shoots white light to the sky, and the battlefield pauses. Heavenly Court’s Gu Immortals weep and cheer that rank nine fate Gu is restored and Yuan Qiong Du did not fail them. Wu Yong, Yao Huang, Shen Cong Sheng and others of the three regions shout to retreat. Bing Sai Chuan urges Fang Yuan to do something, but Fang Yuan’s immemorial sword dragon transformation begins to retreat rapidly. ^{ch. 1953}

Duke Long gives up on Fang Yuan, travels by dragon gate to the tower and weeps at the completely intact fate Gu. His disciple Red Lotus had injured it, and he took on its restoration to make up for the mistake. Addressing that disciple as Hong Ting, he says he has atoned for the mistake. Then he activates the immortal killer move Fate Vanquish. ^{ch. 1953}

The light crumbles every rank seven Immortal Gu House on the battlefield, though the Gu Immortals inside survive. Calamity Luck Altar and Dragon Palace are left in miserable states. The surviving historical rank eight experts of Northern Plains dissipate, and most of Fang Yuan’s year beasts and swordsmen are destroyed. Mao Li Qiu’s perfect pair killer move is forcefully broken. Di Zang Sheng is suppressed to the ground. Only Fang Yuan’s immemorial sword dragon form is completely safe, since he is a complete otherworldly demon with natural immunity to fate vanquish. ^{ch. 1953}

Duke Long stares at Fang Yuan with intense killing intent and hatred, for this otherworldly demon destroyed the immortal graveyard, the largest portion of Heavenly Court’s foundation, and must die cruelly. He flies out of the tower, and destiny song sharply slows Fang Yuan’s retreat. Fang Yuan cancels reverse flow protection seal and charges through Duke Long’s Qi Current Scissors. He reunites with Myriad Year Flying Warship, becomes the immemorial year monkey, scatters the blades with Summer Fan and summons year beasts again with Myriad Year Hunting. ^{ch. 1953}

Feng Jiu Ge uses Submission Song and Song Warrior, and the year beasts in the warrior’s path betray Fang Yuan and submit to Feng Jiu Ge. Duke Long destroys daybreak swords with world shaking dragon hammer and other killer moves, cracking the warship and killing large numbers of Gu worms. Prince Feng Xian leads a Heavenly Court counterattack that drives the enemy houses back. ^{ch. 1953}

Qin Ding Ling amplifies her side’s offense with luck path methods, and Mao Li Qiu, Wu Yong and some others fly out to buy time. As in the previous life, the immortals rely on Fang Yuan, but he is also in a bad state. Fate vanquish has no effect on him, but destiny song, though only rank eight, includes both fate and luck, and luck is effective against him. The song greatly weakens him and almost offsets the amplification from heroes among people. ^{ch. 1953}

Duke Long cannot enjoy that amplification, yet three methods raise his strength: heavenly dragon’s last stand, triple qi retraction and destiny song. Against his charge Fang Yuan turns the Twelve Zodiac battle formation into a grey stone giant. The clash’s explosion lets Fang Yuan retreat, but Duke Long appears behind him with World Shaking Dragon Hammer. Fang Yuan activates reverse flow protection seal, but it breaks, his back is almost pierced and he is sent flying through three Immortal Gu Houses. Hit harder than Fang Yuan by the reflected force, Duke Long stops to heal. ^{ch. 1953}

At the battlefield’s edge, Spectral Soul and his servants have looted the immortal treasury clean but cannot find the Door of Life and Death. Spectral Soul coldly tells Fairy Zi Wei that Duke Long has hidden many things from her. Old Man Zheng Yuan asks whether to help Fang Yuan hold the stalemate, but Spectral Soul smiles that a venerable has yet to make a move. Fang Yuan lies in his own blood before Embroidered Tower, where three blood skins of Reckless Savage Demon Venerable, sewn in the air, loosen and wave like banners. He smells a dense, fishy stench of blood. ^{ch. 1953}
