Destiny Gu

Fang Yuan notes that the text clearly indicated the existence of destiny Gu, and that the second generation Immortal Venerable of Heavenly Court, the creator of wisdom path, controlled this Gu and could plot against three future Demon Venerables. In three kings blessed land, the land spirit says Red Lotus Demon Venerable broke the restriction of destiny, allowing all life to regain control of their own fate. ^{ch. 546}

Bing Sai Chuan explains that Heavenly Court can use fate Gu as an immortal material, refine it with a luck path Immortal Gu, and create destiny Gu. He says destiny Gu was first conceptualized by Giant Sun Immortal Venerable, that Heavenly Court wants rank ten destiny Gu in one go, and that Longevity Heaven only wants rank nine destiny Gu, so the fate Gu they use need not be fully restored. With rank nine destiny Gu, he claims Longevity Heaven could contest Heavenly Court and dominate the five regions. ^{ch. 1715}

Fairy Zi Wei knows Heavenly Court’s plan for destiny Gu, and that Longevity Heaven is also ambitious toward it. Heavenly Court had sought fortune rivalling heaven Immortal Gu, while Longevity Heaven seeks fate Gu, both aiming at destiny Gu. ^{ch. 1726}

Heavenly Court wants to restore rank nine fate Gu and seize fortune rivalling heaven Gu to try to refine rank ten destiny Gu. Longevity Heaven’s target is lower: use the damaged fate Gu to refine rank nine destiny Gu. ^{ch. 1942} Bing Sai Chuan presses to take fate Gu and return to Longevity Heaven to refine rank nine destiny Gu. ^{ch. 1940}

Bing Sai Chuan retorts that even without controlling fate Gu, it can be used as a Gu refinement material to refine destiny Gu, and that destiny Gu can be controlled where fate Gu cannot. Duke Long asks whether refining destiny Gu means fate Gu will not exist; narration notes that if fate Gu is used as material when Longevity Heaven refines destiny Gu, fate Gu would be used up, and a new fate Gu could still appear later. ^{ch. 1961}

Red Lotus’ will tells Fang Yuan that even though fate Gu is destroyed, using it as Gu material to refine destiny Gu still needs an otherworldly demon like him. Bing Sai Chuan sees that Red Lotus Demon Venerable also seems set to refine destiny Gu, against Longevity Heaven’s goal. ^{ch. 1962}

Red Lotus’ will gives Fang Yuan the Immortal Gu recipe of destiny Gu among other gifts. The incomplete recipe was created according to the destiny song Fang Yuan will create in the future, and Red Lotus converted it into a rank nine destiny Gu recipe to help him comprehend destiny song in its initial form. ^{ch. 1965}

During the battle, using human wills as Gu material to refine destiny Gu is called wishful thinking, yet still a possible method. Under destiny song, human wills and flames merge into a formless, colorless mystical Gu material. Fang Yuan later realizes Red Lotus wanted to refine destiny Gu but was not truly trying to refine a Gu. ^{ch. 1966} Heavenly Court’s Gu Immortals stop chasing after witnessing Fang Yuan refine destiny Gu in front of them. ^{ch. 1970}

Fang Yuan recalls rumors of only two rank ten Immortal Gu: one is destiny Gu, and one of the main materials for refining rank ten destiny Gu is rank nine fate Gu. ^{ch. 2140}
