This gives him an initial confirmation that the grotto-heaven is Hei Fan’s own. He finds a great many cultivation resources inside it. A bell rings ten times, and a brass bell heavenly spirit appears before him, unsettling him. Feng Jun trusts his newly created killer move blood light spirit suppression, but Zheng Tuo counters that it is unpracticed, and Zhou Min urges winning over Chen Chi, whom Feng Jun scorns as useless and dying though she answers that Chen Chi outranks them. Feng Jun confesses an ominous feeling that their chance may not come again. Zhou Min notes that he climbed Immortal Succession Mountain and cultivated its luck path inheritance, and that as first inheritor his dao marks match a rank seven luck path Gu Immortal’s despite his lower cultivation. Mid-argument a bell sounds outside, five rings matching Feng Jun’s own past climb, seven leaving him unable to believe that even Old Immortal Chen Chi has been surpassed. The tenth ring means, by the tablet on Immortal Succession Mountain, that a main tribe heir to Old Ancestor Hei Fan’s true inheritance has arrived. Before Fang Yuan, the silent brass bell floats unmoving. He addresses it as Hei Cheng, claiming he opened the nest and hatched the eagle to inherit the true inheritance, but it does not answer. He judges this spirit mindless, from Shadow Sect’s intelligence that a heavenly spirit in a grotto-heaven that absorbed a nine heavens fragment has no control, since heaven’s will enters and greatly diminishes the owner’s authority. He recalls that Seven Star Child, one of Shadow Sect’s original split souls, once devoured an immemorial blue heaven fragment seeking to counter heaven’s will. Instead, heaven’s will trapped him inside Star Constellation Immortal Venerable’s dream realm, which later scattered across Central Continent when Starry Sky grotto-heaven shattered.
