Self Gu

During Dong Fang Chang Fan’s battle of wills against his tribe’s wills, Dong Fang Yu Liang says Ren Zu did not abandon his daughter, blaming self Gu for causing the trouble. Dong Fang Chang Fan answers that the self Gu was Ren Zu’s own, and that Ren Zu’s own deepest thoughts lay behind it. ^{ch. 805}

When feathermen mock Ren Zu for lacking wings, self Gu grows angry and captures every featherman in the sky at once. It boasts that biting strength Gu earlier gave it its own strength, with no price to pay for using it, and that one’s own strength is what is most reliable. ^{ch. 870}

Seeking his own wisdom to match the strength he already holds, Ren Zu resolves to have self Gu eat a mouthful of wisdom Gu, just as it once ate a part of strength Gu. ^{ch. 2036}

When Ren Zu’s search for knowledge stalls without explanation, self Gu tells him to look again, and he finds pride Gu occupying his mind. Later, with his mind already full, self Gu warns him to stop gathering knowledge, but Ren Zu presses on until his mind bursts and Carefree Wisdom Heart is born. ^{ch. 2161}

Inside Primordial Domain, Ren Zu and his children meet wisdom Gu, and though it had hidden itself so deeply, Ren Zu still finds it and self Gu takes a bite out of it. ^{ch. 2177}

After Ren Zu is tricked into Hu Land, self Gu flies out of his body and leaves him, saying that putting attitude Gu on it once let him deceive even himself, so he cannot blame it for going. Great Strength True Martial’s ability Gu says self Gu had once bitten betrayal Gu and so already carried an inclination to betray, adding it was already dissatisfied with self Gu. ^{ch. 2184}

Wang Xiao Er accidentally awakens an Immortal Gu while starting human path cultivation. Its will communicates with him. It is so small that it had hidden itself within his body, and nobody else had sensed it. He remembers it as a famous legendary Gu in The Legends of Ren Zu and flips through that book.

In the legend he then reads, Ren Zu cannot find this Gu at the center of truthful floating ice. Practice Gu tells Ren Zu he has changed so much that even if it is right before him he cannot recognize it, and that Ren Zu should undergo the situation of recognizing himself. After Great Strength True Martial and practice Gu keep undergoing situations, they find it. It is actually so small that cognition Gu says, in the eyes of heaven and earth and of mankind, a single one is very small and insignificant. ^{ch. 2294}
