Chapter 613

Ma Hong Yun rubs his reddened forehead and finds himself with Hei Lou Lan in a warm, vast ancient forest. A voice says they are at the center of Eighty-Eight True Yang Building. Ma Hong Yun cries ghost. Giant Sun’s will answers that he is merely a remnant will and condenses golden light into a body resembling Giant Sun. Hei Lou Lan, head of Hei tribe, greets Ancestor Giant Sun respectfully as a descendant. ^{ch. 613}

Giant Sun’s will says that a man broke into True Yang Building, undid the seal on the land spirit Frost Jade Peacock, and put Imperial Court blessed land on the brink of crisis. The man first appears as Chang Shan Yin, whom Ma Hong Yun recognizes as Lord Wolf King, and then as Fang Yuan’s true face, which neither descendant knows. Fang Yuan had posed as Chang Shan Yin with human skin Gu, a mortal Gu that fooled people like Hei Lou Lan but not the will. Gu worms in the building recorded his actions while the will slept. Hei Lou Lan calls Chang Shan Yin merely a fake, extremely daring to infiltrate the blessed land. The will holds that a larger force surely backs Fang Yuan, and asks both descendants for their strength. They agree. ^{ch. 613}

Hei Lou Lan now understands why the building helped Tai Bai Yun Sheng. The will’s idea is for Hei Lou Lan himself to become owner of the blessed land, a tremendous benefit. Fang Yuan refuses coldly. He grips the glass owner token, a trump card not yet spent. Central continent Gu Immortals left three methods keyed to the token, and the first two are used. The will warns that even the building will eventually fail to resist, and urges Hei Lou Lan and Ma Hong Yun to become owners soon. Treemen reveal the immobilized Frost Jade Peacock. Hei Lou Lan and Ma Hong Yun stand before the peacock as false emotion fake will Gu flies in and its yellow fog gradually enshrouds them and the peacock. ^{ch. 613}
